FURNITURE EXCHANGE — Local services in Corvallis

Dishonest employees.i called and asked them if i could pay for a piece of furnature i saw over the phone.they said no but they would put a hold on it, yet if someone came in to buy it they could. Employee also said the store has been slow and with hold sign on it unlikely someone would ask for it. With that in mind i immideately returned to the store and arrived within 20 minutes of my call.i went for the item and the person on the floor said it sold over an hour ago ( i looked at it 40 minutes earlier) when i told her it wasnt true, she went and got the girl i spoke with on the phone who came out and told me that it sold 15 monutes earlier and she said someone else could buy it. There were hold and sold tags on other items there. There was 1 other shopper in the store both times i was ther today. I told them it was more likely that one of them bought it and they were lying to me. Any business that decieves customers in one respect will do it in...

Never let these people sell your furniture.

I was eager to get a huge $1500 Cal king bedframe out of my house, and I figured this was a good option for selling it.

I called them and they said they would pick it up.

After they arrived and began loading it, I was told there would be a $40 pickup fee, like it cost them $40 to drive over to my house (in Corvallis)?

I asked what they though they could get for it and was told an appraiser would look, but most people were very pleasantly surprised with the amount. Eventually I was told $399, not very impressive.

Months and months go by, which allowed them to progressively lower the price. What did I eventually get after they took their share and applied the pickup fee?

I might as well have used it for firewood at that price. Lesson to future sellers, use Craigslist, be patient, don't go with Corvallis...

This place doesn't even deserve a rateing. The manager she has terrible customer service skills and I'm sure if the owner knew how she talks and treats there customers and cosigners she would be looking for another job. Beware if you plan on useing them for your consignment needs DON'T you will have to fight to get your funds and keep track of what they say has sold and go in to check on your items from time to time if possible.
