I had to do some repairs on my 24 year old Kenmore dryer that would run for about 2 minutes before it would stop. I had to rest it about 4 times before it would finally stay running. Later that time would increase to about 15-20 times and I had to keep it on the lowest heat settings. I delayed the repairs for years and was trying to get better estimates. I was looking at $500-800 for a repairman to repair it. I was given some suggestions and found a few more online. After being led to Appliance Zone, I found Jim who is a real Gem! He expertly verified (several times for me) that I was indeed getting the right parts. His correspondence was in near real time! As everyone else has stated, they ship the items in record time, and I received it in 2 days! I ended up getting a moisture sensor, a thermistor, and a fuse. The moisture sensor did not stop my dryer from stopping, but at least I had a moisture (wet) light that would come on now. After replacing the other two parts, everything worked like a new dryer! There are many techniques for replacing the parts and many say that you don't have to take the entire dryer apart, and you could just remove the bottom to replace the parts. I opted to follow some Youtube videos and just took the roller out and it was super easy. I was able to access the part without busting my knuckles and I was also able to vaccum the area to remove excessive lint. It was an easy and enjoyable experience. I have to credit Jim not only for ensuring that I had the right parts, but also for having the confidence in me to get the job done. I did initially price the parts from another Big Name company, and it was 5 times as much. Appliance Zone had exactly the same parts, but without the excessive markup! Working with Jim was just like it was back in the day, when you had someone credible who didn't just read from a script. Save yourself a lot of money, and order from Appliance Zone and hopefully you'll get Jim...
Read moreI place an order for my part around Thanksgiving. The site said parts are shipped within 10 days. Being around Thanksgiving and with the pandemic going on, I allowed extra time. It seemed like forever. After a couple weeks I received an email saying that the shipping label had been created and the post office was waiting for the shipment. It seemed stuck there for days. I emailed the company and received a reply within minutes. I'm surprised so many reviews said they couldn't get in touch with them. The reply was very apologetic and asked me to be patient that the post office is swamped. So I waited another week, and emailed again. Tracking info never updated, just the post office was waiting for the shipment. Again I received a response from the company within minutes saying they would put a tracer on the shipment, but they were pretty sure it was just due to the post office being overwhelmed. Then low and behold, two days after Christmas I got and email from the post office that my product was on it's way and I would have it within two days, and bang, there it was on my stoop. The company was very easy to deal with, was very prompt replying to my questions and I saved well over $100 dollars ordering an outrageously expensive part from ApplianceZone. I will definitely order from them again, just hopefully the pandemic will be over and it won't be...
Read moreUpdate: TALK IS CHEAP. It took nearly a full month after numerous calls and emails to finally get credit to be issued back after I cancelled my order...now I wonder how long it actually would’ve taken to receive my order had I not cancelled it... the following was my original review: “We discovered damaged refrigerator parts when a tenant moved out of their unit and found Appliance Zone online as a reliable source for replacement parts. The live chat CSR was very helpful in sourcing what we needed as not everything is listed and shown on their website. I placed my order two days ago, but today Aug 12, had to cancel as the refrigerator died. I sent an email and also went on live chat again to be sure my order, which had not shipped, was cancelled. Madeline on live chat responded and took care of everything. So far so good and hope the warehouse is updated and my order is definitely cancelled, as it was scheduled to ship Tues Aug 15. I place a high premium on customer service, accessibility and ease of communication whether online or in person and look forward to doing business again with Appliance Zone. Thank you.” Never again! Talk is cheap. As mentioned, after cancelling our order, it took numerous calls and emails and nearly a full month to actually get our money credited back to us. That’s...
