I had the best and most unexpected experience in your Cottage Grove store yesterday morning (8/7/20). I was having issues with my trailer lights and your AutoZone team member Simone (I believe was her name), was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She quickly directed me to where to find what I was looking for and intuitively knew what light bulb I should be looking for, (she called out the actual bulb type by number). I know that's her job but the way she helped me get it fixed so quickly and easily was so pleasant it was very unexpected compared to my typical auto store experience. Thank you so much Simone! You seriously made my day. I was dreading this trailer light issue and was already running late. With your assistance I got back on the road and back on time! It's always intimidating going into an auto parts store or a predominantly male focused business, because of my novice and also feeling like I could get taken advantage of, however, that feeling was short-lived with my experience this morning. I visited AutoZone in Cottage Grove this morning right at open and was delightfully surprised at the attentiveness, kindness, and level of customer service of the employees working there. Keith, who was the one helping me, went above and beyond what was expected of him to help a customer. He even came out to my car to check something. He and the affiliate working with him whose name I did not grab, gave helpful advice, directions, and made me feel extremely comfortable. I came to AutoZone after a major fail from my usual auto repair SHOP in cottage grove, and Jake (the new store manager) and Hunter not only helped me figure out what I needed to be back in working order— but performed a service that a “legitimate” car shop apparently couldn’t. Seriously stellar service from this auto parts shop. Hunter, a young knowledgable employee, helped me out with a smile on his face and even offered to help with something else I hadn’t asked for. Jake, the manager, was incredibly kind and understanding regarding my frustration — I don’t know a ton about auto parts, so it meant a lot to not feel dumb or judged around these guys!
