The Grove United Methodist Church - Cottage Grove — Local services in Cottage Grove

I definitely appreciate everyone's informed experience. I'm noticing, though, that all of the negative reviews on here are people I've never seen at this church who were misinformed by a strange negative media campaign from 4 years ago. The church is about 2 years old and has been a very important place for me. I felt like an outcast at the time when I checked it out. Rejected and disillusioned from faith, friends, and family after a difficult divorce experience. We started going to The Grove after our family began participating in preschool playtime on Fridays. From there I can't say enough about what we have found here. We have a community that is rooted in love, understanding, grace. The weekly messages stike a chord and often get you thinking about situations and relationships in ways you haven't thought of before. I grew up in the Methodist Church where everyone was welcomed period. God is always with us so my question to church leaders is this. Would you ask the older members to look elsewhere to go to church if you could physically see God or Jesus standing in front of you? You have forgotten who the real leader of God's House is and he welcomes everyone. This church has lost its way so I pray for them and the Methodist Church in its entirety.
