Money Grabbing -
We thought we'd switch our internet and phone provider for our business to Verizon because of the reliable service. We got a quote 3-4 months ago from the location in Woodbury. After contemplating we decided Black Friday was a good day to switch because of the perks and free devices being offered. This is where problems started and we were tricked and lied to over and over again... All with very vague answer dodging explanations.
The Cottage Grove location told me that the price I was quoted in Woodbury shouldn't be offered anymore, but they can do it. So they did. However the first bill reflected a $60 increase in what I signed up for. Our overall bill was much much more than I ever agreed to and no explanation was given.
Internet is being advertised as "no hidden fees" and "no equipment charges" We were charged both. The phone customer service could not give me an answer to these extra fees. The Cottage Grove location said that $30 of it was a mistake, but the rest is accurate. They told me that they "never would have offered the price I'm talking about" but they did. Lied two three times by three different reps... none of it made sense.
The "free" devices also came with a service charge that I was not made aware of upfront ... maybe my fault for not reading fine print there, but I was NOT told I would be charged monthly for service on those devices.
We tried to give the phones back for our old ones (two weeks after we made the switch) STILL in the grace period, but they'd already recycled our phones... so now we are LOCKED in unless we return the phones, do not get our old ones back for trade power elsewhere, or buy them outright.
After learning about the service on the watch I wanted to return it but they won't take it without the box... so deception = we pay for it. I was NOT quoted what service would be added for the watch. I was told that I should have known that.
My initial conversation with the rep was by myself and I was treated very disrespectfully by the rep... talking down on me and even smirking and laughing at certain points. I was upset, but calm and trying to be clear in the answers that I needed. When my husband came to join, he totally changed his tune and talked to us with respect.
Overall, the "devices on us" is a money grab. Don't do it. And ASK about the hidden fees and equipment charges because they can't explain it. 3 different reps with 3 different stories.
As of now we are trapped because we have these expensive phones and they can't give us our old ones back even though we are within the grace period. They won't take the watch back. They won't give us a refund on the extra charges that popped up and they can't explain. They won't honor the price I was quoted (two separate times) when making the switch. They insist that we pay the one that is $60...
Read moreMy experience at Wireless World - Verizon Authorized Retailer in Cottage Grove was extremely disappointing and unethical. When I arrived to pick up my online order for 3 brand new Galaxy phones, the store attempted to pass off an open box item as a new device. Upon discovering this just before leaving the store, I requested a replacement, but the staff: Refused to take back the open box phone Claimed "this is what we have" Insisted I "work with Verizon Wireless" This behavior is unacceptable for several reasons: Customers expect new, unopened devices when ordering online. The store deliberately tried to mislead me about the product condition. They showed no willingness to resolve the issue or provide customer service. Additionally, this store violated Verizon's policy of providing a brand new device when a customer purchases one. According to Verizon's guidelines, customers should receive new devices and not open box items when making such purchases. I recommend potential customers be extremely cautious when purchasing from this location. The staff's dishonesty and lack of integrity make this an unreliable retailer for purchasing electronic devices. Recommendation: Avoid this store and purchase directly from Verizon or a more reputable authorized retailer.
Added feedback. Please follow Verizon protocol if you are selling Verizon product. I would expect you might have received a feedback from Verizon corporate to...
Read moreI had a great experience at this particular Verizon store. Sadly, the one on Robert Street in West St. Paul was never as helpful as these employees are. Well, I should specify, I only was helped by one employee, sadly I didn’t catch his name, but he has shoulder length, black/dark brown hair & he was very respectful & extremely helpful. We came in on a Saturday & we didn’t know the store was about to close at 1700 & he still gave us all the help we could possibly need. I truly believe you have a great employee, he was able to help with many, many things & even offered to help my father with some wifi enabled (not sure the name of what it was called exactly), but we’re going back today & hoping the same gentleman is there to help us as he was extremely respectful & as I mentioned, very helpful & didn’t give us one big of a bad vice or attitude consider the store was probably 20 minutes past closing time & he was still willing to simply talk to us about the radio in my fathers truck. Good job, nameless man. (Gonna have to edit this when I get your name! Lol). Also, sorry if there’s misspelling & wrong characters used, I need a new prescription...
