We were looking forward to shopping here but the owner or employee was extremely rude to our group. We got some ice cream from next door and decided to sit on the steps and stand on the landing outside the shop to finish our ice cream before entering the store. There are two sets of stairs into this business, so we were not blocking the entrance or exit. While we were eating our ice cream, a lady came out and said “Really?” We were confused because we weren’t sure if she was upset or trying to make conversation. She then said in a very rude tone “Do you mind?” That’s when we figured out she was mad that we were outside her store. We apologized but she adbruptly turned around and went back into the store. We would have gladly relocated if she had been polite and explained her concerns. Needless to say, we no longer felt like shopping...

This ‘antique’ store buys cheap wholesale items and sells them at an obscene price. I had purchased a couple tiny cat plates, when someone had asked the origin, I explained they were ‘antique’, they took a photo to reverse google search, and viola: the plates I paid hundreds for are Chinese made, and sold for pennies on temu, or for dollars on amazon. A very nice shop full of interesting pieces from Japan. We stop in a few times a year and have picked up some lovely items including some beautiful pottery, small decorative items, and a gorgeous 3-piece tansu that sits proudly in our entry and almost invariably gets compliments from any visitors.

Lots of variety (from chopsticks to large furniture pieces). The prices are reasonable and if you get a chance to speak with Jan, she is very knowledgeable about the pieces. Definitely...
