Went in tonight to pick up my food for the week . I had at least $200 in food in my cart (money I work for not that's given to me by uncle Sam). Walked to the check out where FIVE employees were huddled up talking . I asked why there were no lanes open other than self check out and was ignored. Started scanning my items until there was an issue . An employee then came over, didn't say a word, just stood behind me for 30 seconds until I noticed her . She scanned two items and then proceeds to walk away so I said "wait, I've already scanned those, are they on my Screen twice?" "No they were voided, if you scanned things normally instead of tossing them there would not be an issue". Listen, if I want to ring my own food up I would get a job at Kroger, since I don't, I choose to buy my food and have somebody else ring it up. I look for someone working a register not for someone to stand over my shoulder and tell me how it's done. So I then said I've got $200 of stuff in my cart how come there are no lanes open? That's when they proceeded to tell me there was a lane open even though there were no lights on and nobody standing at a register and everybody still standing in the corner talking about whatever it is that lazy employees talk about when they're not doing their job. " I'd didn't come in here to ring myself up, I'm inclined to just leave all of this and come back when there are employees here to actually do their job". She immediately told me that she didn't care what I did and that I can leave anytime I want . I admit I definitely lost my cool, spoke my mind about what kind of person I thought she was as she was snarkaly telling me not to ever come back to Kroger. So I looked it up and I've spent around $1600 to $2000 a month at Kroger for the past year. I guess they don't need my business since they let lazy @$$, worthless strains on society dictate who comes in and who they feel like ringing u (I'm sure it depends on the amount of items in my cart) It definitely makes me second guess why I ever walked into that cesspool to do my shopping, I would rather drive an hour and spend twice as much somewhere else to get the things I need. When you have disgusting people running your business, you lose. Not me, not the waste of air sleeping on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTracy the manger here has caused too much stress and problems with myself and now my mom! Everyone knows she is the manager (black female) who no matter if you have a receipt and tell her the ice cream was free er burnt in 3 different containers! She asked why all three had Ice cream missing and of course asked too many questions as if my mom was lying!!! How would we know if the others were good or not without TASTING IT!!! This has gotten old and we shouldnāt be scared and afraid to return items we have a reciept for!!! Their freezers and fridges have been an issue for years and still we come home with spoiled yogurt, freezer burnt ice cream, ice cream containers beat up and melted ice cream all over the containers. Tracy has been here for over 3 years. Sheās the same woman who accused me of stealing and felt dumb when they checked the cameras and seen I never stole. But it was uncalled for and I am sick and tired of being a loyal customer at Kroger and having to worry about a manager treating me differently. If itās a black person she treats them super nice, but when itās a white person.. weāre treated like we are trash. This has got to stop. This is not my first time making a complaint on her. Iāll be calling to make another because clearly she never had a talk about how you canāt grill customers for returns like this!!!!! My grandparents have thrown away so much food and dairy because we donāt want to deal with Tracy asking a thousand questions after we just told her the ice cream is freezer burnt and tasted like we were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwice now I've had their cart lock up on me as I've been leaving the store. This time we had a minor injury to the shin bone ramming into the cart as it came to a screeching halt. The first time it happened the employee was very nice and explained it was an anti-theft device. The check out lane SHOULD turn it off as you go through. This time the employees were no help at all. They left me standing there. After they "unlocked" it I pushed the cart about two feet and it locked up again. One employee actually said, "she's not hurt" to another employee right in front of me. Not one person looked at my bags or checked my receipt. What kind of operation puts an anti theft device on their cart and then doesn't follow through when it locks up? I was very upset about having to wait for someone to help and more upset about the way I was treated. I'll never go there again and I encourage others to shop elsewhere as well. I had some choice words for them and I'm sorry I lost control but it was absolutely unacceptable. Haven't had any problems at erlanger or Independence Kroger. Employees are polite and management understands store policy and...
