Iâm done with this Walgreen Pharmacy. Iâm moving my business to someplace else. The pharmacy is SO slow. The employees act like they donât want to be there. I get notifications that my prescriptions are ready and when I arrive to pick them up, they look it up, then look at me blankly and tell me they know nothing about it. I canât tell you how many wasted trips Iâve made to this pharmacy because of that. I needed a shingles vaccine and they said they were out. No offer to take my information and give me a curtesy call when it was available. Most recently, when I was about to run out of refills, I called my doctorâs office to get approval for more refills. My doctorâs office later confirmed that they had sent authorization to this Walgreens for all my prescriptions. I then called in to Walgreens requesting refills. I did all this because I didnât trust the pharmacy to do it. Went to the pharmacy a few days later to find only one prescription had been filled. When I asked about the other prescriptions, I was told no doctorâs authorization had arrived for those. Now, I know for sure this was a LIE. When I questioned the worker again, she back-tracked and said that the prescription was authorized, but insurance wouldnât pay for it until a few days out. Thatâs a big difference. Through no help of the employee, I was able to arrive at the solution of buying a few days of my prescription medicine and paying out-of-pocket for it. Geez. I had my daughterâs pain medicine and nauseas medicine called in/ dropped off first thing this morning because she had oral surgery. 2.5 hours later I go to the pharmacy to pick up the medicine since they failed to tell me when it would be ready, they just said a âcouple of hours.â
When I go to pick up the medicine, the tech working told me it would be a couple more hours. I tell her my daughter is in a lot of pain and very sick, and asked when I would be able to pick up. The tech goes to ask/ tell the pharmacist on duty, Samira, something and then they both start laughing.
I am confused what is funny about my daughter being in pain and really needing this medicine? I would hate to see how they treat other sick people. The entire interaction was extremely unprofessional and I would not suggest this pharmacy to anyone as long as Samira is a pharmacist there.
I donât expect a technician to be able to make judgement calls or assist me on their own, since they are not in charge or professionally trained. I also understand that there are other people with prescriptions that need to be filled. What I do understand and expect though is for the pharmacist to be empathetic and professional when handling situations like this.    Read moreBecause of the type of medication I'm on, I have to have it ordered and can't get it filled until the actual due date. They had my prescription in hand 1 week ahead of time, I even called them to remind them order it 1 week ahead of time. I get a text saying my script is delayed, being reviewed a week ahead of time. I called yesterday morning to tell them to make sure it's filled I'm on my way. I waited for their text saying it was ready, because you do NOT want to go to this Walgreens to have to wait HOURS in line. I receive a text 5 hours later that they are out of my medication. When I called the lady at the counter said "we're out and we just ordered it today, don't know when it will be here" told her "I called 1 week ago to have you order it and I spoke to Roberta" she then said, " I can't know about what you and Roberta talked about, were out" I then asked to speak to the pharmacist I was on hold for 39 minutes, then disconnected I called back and was on hold for 45 minutes, I finally get to speak to the pharmacist only to be told "we're out, it's first come first serve, more should be in sometimes on Friday, (today is Monday). I told her I am out what am I supposed to do, she said "you can can get your doctor to call your prescription into another pharmacy" she then slammed down the phone.
