Rotten Apples is named appropriately because they are certainly rotten. Less than 30 days after my son paid them $470 to fix his Macbook screen, his screen turned black. Greg cited ā€œaccidental damageā€ in his own opinion, which most certainly did not happen. They will not honor their 90 day warranty, and basically accused my son of lying when he told them he didn’t damage or drop it. They either sold him a piece-of-crap screen or provided crappy workmanship or both. I’m also seeing similar problems encountered by other customers on here. I strongly advise against using them and have filed a complaint with the state Attorney General’s office.***Updated 10/15/25*** After reading Rotten Apples response to my review - I would like to add the following: #1) It makes absolutely no sense to claim that the screen crack occurred outside your store. My son noticed the screen crack at home and drove the computer to you. So are you implying that he drove a perfectly fine computer to you and then dropped it outside of your store before bringing it into your store to ask for a repair? That is a ridiculous claim to make! #2) Also I am attaching a screenshot of the letter from the attorney general. They stated that they can't force you to comply - they did not agree with you. #3) Their letter is dated for February yet you waited until October to reply. You did not just receive their response. #4. I'm also attaching photos of his laptop that you claim he dropped and damaged (which he did not). Please tell me where this damage appears? Your false claims just prove your dishonesty further.

Took iPad in for screen repair after I waited for them to call me saying it was in. When I dropped it off the guy said 5 days it will take. So I call on 7th day asking if done and the guy says tech is working on it right now and will call when done later or tomorrow for sure. I then call 3 days later and asked what’s going on and a girl this time says tech is working on it now and close to being done. So I told her a guy told me the same exact thing 3 days ago. She says please hold and puts me on hold. Comes back on and she said the tech has been testing it and the issue isn’t happening. I then said I’m coming to get it to put screen back on and I will take it home and wait for the issue happen again. The next day I call back and say it’s happening. I asked how long it will take because I need it back ASAP because it is my life because of injuries I sustained in accident. She asks tech and say he is currently working on 1 project and he has nothing else so id be next in line and will make it a priority. 3 days and it will be fixed. 5 days later my wife is so frustrated she calls and asked to talk to the tech. She goes on hold and guy says tech is currently in middle of something and he will call right back. 4hrs later I decided to leave to go to the business. I Call on the way and guy says tech just went to post office and he couldn’t find what tech said so he would call me back. About 25min later the guy calls me and says the didn’t fix the iPad because ā€˜they never had this type of issue ever before.’ Said come pick up and they won’t charge since didn’t fix it but would keep the $50 deposit I gave. I took it to someone that was in mall and they told me exactly what issue was and would take 3 days to fix. The issue was with the digitizer problem. Rotten apples wasted 3 weeks of time doing absolutely nothing. They were so unprofessional and the moron taking calls was very ignorant. Your business is call rotten apples but you ā€œneverā€ had that type of issue before. It’s a joke of a business and highly recommend NOT using them. If another place will fix it for $100 more dollars then just go to them. The $100 cheaper at rotten apples IS NOT worth it at all. Very unprofessional, rude, ignorant and lacking of knowledge is Rotten Apples. Stay far away and any good reviews you see are friends of everyone who works there. Was told this by my friend who is good friends with the girl there. A joke of a...

I brought my iPhone 6 in for a battery replacement after reading great reviews on Google. I have not had any battery issues since.

However, after getting my phone back and taking it home, I noticed a small blue spot on the screen that would not go away. Thinking that this had something to do with the battery replacement, I took my phone back the next day. The person at the front desk told me that this likely happened due to "improper seating" when the phone was put back together after replacing the battery. He offered to look at it and fix it at no charge, so I accepted.

The blue spot issue was repaired. Days later, I noticed issues with the ear speaker- I was not able to hear people when I used the phone without a headset! Also, the selfie camera did not work. Since both of these components are close to each other, I figured something happened during the "blue spot" fix.

I took my phone in a third time and when I went to pick it up, the person at the front desk told me that during the repair for the blue spot issue, my screen had been replaced and that I was "lucky" for not being charged for the screen replacement. Apparently screen replacements are special here in that they void the guarantees the Rotten Apples makes about workmanship.

I am happy that my battery issues are gone but I am not happy that I had to take my phone in three times and that I was told I was "lucky" for not getting charged for something that was not my fault.

Be cautious about giving your phone to this place- the third time I went there, they had a "Help Needed" sign out front stating that they are "willing to train the right people." I got the impression that anyone could walk in with no experience and potentially be "repairing phones" in a short...
