I have tried so hard to like this Costco. I have kept my membership and have given it a chance but I just can’t with this store. I don’t know if others are different but this is the closest one to me, and I still drive over an hour. Canceling my membership STAT!!!
I don’t know who the heck designed the layout of the store/parking lot and gas station.. but my small children could have done a better job. This place is insanely busy. The parking lot is a joke. When you finally find a parking spot and walk into the store to get a cart, the carts are located on the side where people are coming out of the store to leave.. so when you get your cart and want to go in to shop you have to weave your way through the people coming out of the store. It’s an absolute MESS!!! The customer service desk is on the side where people are coming out of the store so if you need to go to the desk you have to literally push and squeeze your way through people coming out of the store.. Also I just don’t get the logic behind how the store is set up. When you walk in nothing is organized in location. They have a couple tables of clothes, and other random stuff.. Why have it randomly spaced and not have all the clothes in one area and then all the kitchen stuff in the same area, shampoo in same area.. having random tables of stuff in random places makes zero sense
Don’t even get me started on check out. I have never been to a store so chaotic. It doesn’t flow well, and is a cluster mess.. on top of that, you have people who are coming from the bathroom from the far left corner squeeze try to get through the lines of people so they can go shop.. This store needs to get its act together and come together and rethink the set up. Sam’s club is where I will give my business. It’s closer to me and makes my shopping experience a...
Read moreVery disappointed in this Costco. If I could give them a NEGATIVE rating, I would!
Their mobility carts are in poor condition and in need of repair or replacement.
In addition, their cashier's are not trained in how to deal with problems. I was sent to the service desk to attempt to resolve a problem with redeeming a rewards certificate.
The employees at the service desk claimed that I had requested a replacement certificate, which I did NOT do, and that I would have to find a certificate with a "2" on it to obtain the reward. Further, they claimed there was nothing they could do. The employees at the service desk were dismissive and rude. I will NOT be renewing my membership based simply on this customer service.
When I got home (an hour away), I contacted Citibank who issues the reward certificates and they walked me through requesting a replacement certificate. They said that they only saw 1 certificate issued and if I requested a new one, it would have the "2" on it. If I had previously requested a replacement, it would be voided and the new one would have a "3" on it. We'll, guess what? The new replacement that I requested while they were on the phone had a "2" on it... proving what I told the "helpful" customer service employees at Costco was correct... I had NOT request a replacement and the original certificate I had should have worked.
It will be a few months before I will be near Costco again, but I will take this new "2" certificate for redemption because it's too much money to not use but that will be my last trip to Costco and I will NOT renew...
Read moreOn 10/10/2025 i went to Costco #328 in Cranberry to buy water for work. While going through the ckeckout at 12:32 pm i encountered two young ladies at the checkout (assuming one was "training" the other). The receipt says op#72 with the young ladies name that i will not share publicly. While trying to just pay for the water the first young lady scans my membership car, then i move forward the second young lady (the trainer i guess) says i need your white card, i replied that the other young lady already scanned it and this is where the attitude began. She acted as if i shouldn't even question her authority with her tone and body language. Then the first young lady asks if i wanted to buy stamps i didn't hear her so i asked what she said and she again asked if i wanted to buy stamps i replied no and she replied we are cheaper than the post office.... i don't care i don't want stamps. Then after paying the "trainer says as im walking away "with members like that you just have to let them go"..... i acted as though i didn't hear it since i had enough of the unprovoked attitude and arrogance and left. I guess a member that doesn't want to purchase something is a problem for this arrogant young lady. If this is who you have training your employees it says everything to me about the rest of the operation. I will be taking my business to BJ's and or Sam's club from now on. I just purchased a membership to Costco earlier this year because my wife wanted to check it out, well i did and if this is how you train your employee...
