Purchased 4 pairs of shoes from Talbots on-line store. First pair was shipped and received today. Grey plastic bag, with a crushed talbot's shoe box, not the box that the shoes belong to. Box was dirty on the inside, NO TISSUE PAPER WHATSOEVER, SHOES WERE WORN, DIRTY AND CREASED AND JUST SHOVED IN THE BOX. No plastic sleeves, no tissue in the toes, NOTHING but a USED PAIR OF SHOES. Now customer service returned my money and I'm going to give them to goodwill, but WTH. I called the store because I was still upset with how a manager could allow a used pair of shoes to be shipped to a customer without any packing whatsoever. That's what I told her, and she starts screaming at me, that she is not going to be spoken to by someone like me. Are we getting some ethnic sludge from a manager that has no customer service skills to speak of? Shame on Talbots for allowing this to happen. Never had this experience before. To be fair, my other visits there were very pleasant and professional. The sales associate Rachel was extremely helpful and delightful in helping me find and pick out two cute dresses. So five stars for her and zero for...
Read moreGood quality clothes, although sizing is wildly inconsistent so minus one star. I’m knocking off another star because the store hours are a joke ever since Covid. 10 to 6? Women who work (which those who can afford these clothes generally do) can’t shop here on weekdays and often have other commitments on weekends. I guarantee you’re losing business due to this. How about staying open later one or two evenings...
