Cuyuna Outfitters is the best rental company I have ever worked with. A few friends and I were in from out of town and wanted to kayak for a day on a beautiful Minnesota lake. Not only was the owner of this family business so knowledgeable, helpful, and hospitable, but she also gave us (a group of three teachers) a complimentary paddle to thank us for all the work we do for children. We rented a couple clear kayaks and the experience could not have been better from the first call to pulling the kayaks in. They were so helpful when booking and flexible when it came to the weather, and being proactive on rescheduling. Granted, it's October so I don't know if that could be achieved in the summer months, but I know they will if they can. They were thoughtful when it came to our kids and even brought dry bags for us which I had forgotten. Everything was so easy. I’ve lived in the Cuyuna area for several years now and am no stranger to the mountain bike trails and the mine pits. When my sister visited from KS we decided to rent the crystal clear kayaks from Cuyuna Outfitters for a fun evening together. It. Was. Incredible. The pits are so perfect for any kind of paddling—I typically use my SUP—but this was like a brand new experience. Just incredible.
