Trailside Tavern & Patio — Restaurant in Crosby

We arrived just before 6 got sat and got our sodas right away. There was 3 of us. 2 adults and 1 child. My child ordered a bowl of soup and wife ordered steak bites. I ordered a burger with truffle fries. I asked for mayo with my fries. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Table to the side of us came in ordered 2 burgers are and left before we got our food. Finally our food arrived and I had no mayo. So I asked someone walking by the table if I could get some mayo, she said no problem. So I ate my burger and still waited for my mayo. So I finally grabbed another server and asked if I could get some mayo. Finally got some mayo and got to eat my cold fries. We never got a refill on our soda or was even asked if we needed one. So we had to use the ice for beverage. Finally getting our bill we got out of there after an hour and half for a quick bite to eat for the evening. Bar and tables were not full and the bell in the kitchen kept ringing every 30 seconds. Was not sure why we were odd table out....

This is a great bar in Crosby. We always try to eat here. The chicken wings are 5 stars. So was the burger mushroom portobello, and the salad. Their beer prices and ads do not reflect actual price. They had $5 burgers advertised on the side of their building, but not honored. They had Fat Tire beer advertised for less, but they charged us more and said, yeah, that's old. That part is really terrible advertising. Don't pay attention to the posters.

Update. Owner responded. Thank you for reviewing the posters and the clarification. I've updated the posting to 4 stars, as the food is really good. And we will definitely be in again, but we will make sure we ask before ordering to make sure there is no confusion. We thought we saw a poster for $8.50 22oz, and $6.50 pint. We ordered two 22oz, but were charged 18.00. Not much different. Thanks, we...

If you’re trying to decide where to go eat in Crosby don’t go here. We showed up at 7pm and sat at a table for over 20 minutes before I decided to get up and ask a server to come to our table. Once she finally came over, we were informed they were already out of the Monday night burger special (it’s supposed to be available until 9). We order and wait an hour and still no food. At this time we noticed a group of 4 that came in about 25 minutes after us got their food so we paid for our drinks and left. An hour and a half without food was too much for us and our 9...
