Highly recommend! After dealing with terrible shops we found this family business, Nick the owner is the man and always takes care of us. Customer service is great; work is always quality and they very proudly stand behind it. Have been going here a few years now, have recommended many people all who were all very happy with experience from the smallest repair to the bigger ones. They have helped us out a few times in a bind when they could have easily turned us away- many shops had and now we are glad they did because we found Larsens. We drive very reliable older Japanese 4WD trucks both models are out of production now and many shops refuse to work on them becuase itâs too hard! The oldest is admittedly a bit more obscure, and one year shy of OBD2 and this of course scares the hell out of your shade tree mechanic shops who rely on scan tools to replace an interior light. These guys are the real deal. For balance only downside for us is when they are very busy the repairs can take time but we know thatâs also our fault one of our trucks can be a bit harder to deal with esp for parts. Their services are highly in demand and they do it right the first time. Any good shop these days is very busy and if there is a bit of line just like a good restaurant âitâs for a very good reason. Get in there get to know them. ...
Read moreMy 88 year old father had been taking his car to Larsen for a number of years. He'd never had any issues with the service or quality of work until this most recent visit. This month, he brought his 2001 Camry in to get a fluid leak remedied. Larsen had his car for an entire week and claimed that the leak was fixed. My father paid his bill of $2000.00 and took his car home. A day later, the car was still leaking fluid on the same spot on the garage floor. He took the car back and Larsen charged him another $1000.00 and again claimed they'd fixed the problem. The day after getting the car back for the second time, my father noticed the car was still leaving fluid in the same place on the garage floor.
At wits end, he took the car to a different mechanic, who found and fixed the leak and also threw in a tuneup for much less than Larsen charged.
I understand that mistakes can happen. I understand that some problems are harder to diagnose and fix than others. But, shouldn't a reputable neighborhood mechanic stand by their first $2000.00 repair and, if the leak was not fixed, would take the car back and attempt to fix it at no charge the second time. Apparently the days of mechanics abiding by a personal warranty on their work...

I love this place; finally found a shop that I feel comfortable going to for everything from regular maintenance, to used car inspections to smog checks, you name it. Honest prognosis of issues and fair prices to match (always in line with the quote). Quick turnaround of service too.
Definitely recommend making an appointment on their website in advance as theyâre a busy operation (not a bad thing).
They have a strong incorporation of online tools to go with some services. When I got my newly bought used car inspected, they sent a link with detailed notes and photos of areas/parts that needed attention and how soon. Never seen that from a private shop.
Definitely recommend checking them out for the next time anyone needs some work done.
Update 7/10: my car battery died today and they let me come by and borrow their mobile jumper unit. Then replaced my battery day of when I was able to get it over to the shop. Side note 2 of my friends recommended I take it over to Larsen. Because theyâre the best and donât I know it. They continue to be the best shop Ive used in 8 years here and Nick and his team...
