My partner and I were excited to try this place out again, as we had had an excellent experience the first time. We placed an order through DoorDash for pickup at 6:15 yesterday evening. We got there around 6:20ish, hoping to have the same great service as the first time. Granted, we didn't think a few minutes off from our pickup time would be an enormous issue, as LA traffic is always lively. My partner walked in wearing a rainbow scarf as a face mask (its LA, one of the biggest LGBTQIA2+ friendly cities in the U.S), when they were greeted with the most rude cashier. He was white with blonde hair, and wearing a snapback. Immediately upon entrance, he was on the phone and didn't greet my partner, only asked "Yeah?" while barely looking over. When my partner proceeded to state that they were there for a pickup order, the cashier rudely made them repeat themselves, as if it was extremely difficult to hear them through the mask. My partner brushed it off because of the difficulty there is in hearing each other through masks sometimes, but the cashier's rude demeanor was just continued through the interaction. When he finally understood my partner when they said they were there for a pickup order, he responded, "Oh? DAMN! That's been here for a while" and rudely sent my partner off. Didn't thank them, didn't wish them a good day, just a flippant attitude and dismissal as if he couldn't bother to deal with us. We couldn't understand why the interaction had been so antagonistic, until my partner pointed out that all they could really think of was their rainbow bandana. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences we've ever had with cashiers, and we particularly didn't expect to get treated as such by the same place who had given us such excellent customer service the first time we tried it out. If the cashier has homophobic biases, he should try 1) Work through them to become a functioning, useful member to society and 2) Have the decency to keep them in check when dealing with complete strangers. I'm hoping that this establishment works on sensitivity training, and hires cashiers that are genuinely going to reflect the brand's welcoming image. If this happens to be one of the owners who recognizes the interaction, then shame on you. Extremely disappointed. Just to add on, their Doordash order system is misleading. Online it states that they have a beyond vegan sausage pizza, and instead when we picked it up, it was soyrizo. The first time we ordered, their menu had a vegan soyrizo pizza (which is what we tried). This second time around on DoorDash, the item has been changed to "vegan sausage pizza." This is misleading because it was the same as the first time, just soyrizo. The image is of the vegan soyrizo pizza the first time we ordered. This second time, it looked exactly the same. No vegan sausage in sight.

**Update**: changed to 4/5. Owner has decided not to offer the 18 inch pizza and now only serves 12 inch. Still a good place, but I hope they bring it back. Now have bottles of ABK "das Blaue" Hell beer which I absolutely love! Great local neighborhood pizza, beer, and wine. Prices are very reasonable, NY style pizza with fresh and flavorful ingredients, relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy. The Americano pizza is just too good to get the regular size. We always leave with leftovers. Lots of specials including 2 slices and a bottle of beer for $7.95, $22 for 12" breakfast pizza with a pitcher of mimosas on Sat/Sun, $4 can of Golden Road Blonde ale beer for Dodgers Games, and several others! Support your local local businesses and enjoy great food, drinks, and service at Taproom Pizza Co!

The food is decent and the atmosphere is good. What really stood out on my visit was the customer service. The waiter was super kind and friendly. Checked up on us a lot to make sure everything was good. The food came out fast and tasted fresh. Only reason for 4/5 is the price and size of pizza choices. You can only choose from 12in or 14in pizzas. To upgrade from 12in is $4 making it about $26 per pizza. They were good but not great.

Food was mediocre and the service when we complained was terrible. Almost two weeks ago for dinner my mom and sister suggested a pizza spot they had been to on several occasions. I had never Taproom pizza so I had high expectations based off what my sister and Mom had experienced. My sister called in for a carryout order which consisted of three pizzas and a side of lemon pepper wings. One of three pizzas was a Garden pizza, when we arrived home and began eating my sister noticed it had missing ingredients (veggies that are listed on their menu), the other two pizzas barely had any tomato sauce on it (we requested extra tomato sauce), and the wings were extremely salty for lemon pepper wings. On their website it doesn't specify which are dry rub/ which are sauced (if any). When I received my wings I got what tasted like straight up salt. I told my sister to call because I was highly dissatisfied with the order and she did while we were all sitting at the table. She spoke to one of the managers and he said he would redo the order and bring it personally to our home (30 min drive) but then he called again and said he wasn't going to be able to drive all the way out to us because of the distance and that instead would comp our order the next time we went and give us a FULL REFUND for that nights order which totaled $60 and some change. The following week on Saturday or Sunday morning we realized he only refunded $25 and some change and when we called back he said he never said full refund and he only gave us a refund for one pizza and the wings. When my sister reminded him of what the conversation entailed he denied that we complained about the pizza and that the night in question we only complained about salty wings🙄 (then why issue a refund of $25 when the wings are $8) . We went that same day to get the remade pizza he promised and when my sister tried clarifying the situation he had the worst attitude. The way he approached the situation trying to make it seem like my sister was lying and like we were trying to get free food completely ruined the experience. And his response to every statement made by my sister was "okay, well I gave you what you asked". I personally didn't even want the remade pizza or wings after the way he spoke to us. Instead of making us feel comfortable and take responsibility for the way the order was made he had a nasty attitude through it all. Needless to say,...

I'm not sure why all the bad reviews. There are two owners there. I can't remember the guys name who is usually there when we go. He's a lil slimmer and taller than the other one. He is so welcoming n personable. This is our family pizza spot. My daughter has had both of her birthdays there. He is very accommodating and makes you feel like family. Always playing the best music of all genres, he keeps us dancing and singing the whole time we're there. As far as the comments that say it's not a place for black people, I'm not sure who was there or what their experience was. My family is black and we are all different shades of black. I have never felt unwelcomed by him. I've never felt treated poorly by him and I have seen him interact with other black people as well and he has been nothing but kind and warm to all of us. The food taste very fresh and delicious, I always get the vegetable pizza and maybe a salad. I would say at least give it a try! You may be...
