I review the laser treatments in two parts, place and nurse, because most places have similar if not the same machine anyways (I found many places have Candela GentleMax Pro).

1. I find this place to be a sweet spot for doing laser treatments. I didn’t have the best time with big corporations doing laser treatments, they try to sell their bulk plans saying today you got lucky, while they’re overpriced. Worse, you want a minor modification to the area, they say oh you should pay extra and add this plan. Literally they said oh we know that issue, it’s very typical, we only offer it in the aggregate of these two packages, even though it’s just a few inches of extra work over the base package! And on the other end you can go to low cost options, but sometimes you have difficulty talking in clear English, and their cleanness can be questionable. Here is the sweet spot though, they’re very clean as they’re also a dental office, while one room is dedicated to laser. Their price is towards the less expensive end, and they honor their Groupon prices for one set of treatments, which gets very close to low cost options.

2. I did my treatments with nurse Roberto (Robbie) and he is a really nice person. I asked him to add a minor part and he was totally cool with that, not like those corporations. Or he’s not trying to finish the sessions as soon as possible, he said for example let’s space out the treatments as they’re doing better than expected and see. Or he listens to what worked and what didn’t, to properly focus on the necessary areas. Regarding the results, it’s very skin dependent, I almost hit the jackpot. I actually did treatments on almost the same area several years ago, in a fancier beauty institute that even did plastic surgeries, but after 9 treatments or so the hair barely got thinner and mostly got back after these years. With this machine, after only two sessions the hair growth became minimal on some of the parts that I doubt if it can become any better with any laser treatment. I figured that the previous place used Alexandrite lasers, while here Robbie selected Nd:Yag mode. My skin's darkness is right on the border of which of these would work better, where the Alexandrite caused burns at higher intensity, while this one worked right off the bat. It might be because it was treated with both it worked this nicely, but even on the small new areas which were not in the previous treatment, or the areas that previous treatment caused burns and didn’t help at all, there is considerable improvements only after two sessions, almost as good as it gets which limited thin hair remaining. Nurse Robbie is fantastic!! He practices individualized care and makes sure that every laser hair removal treatment is tailored to the client’s specific needs. Before every appointment, I have seen him read over client charts meticulously to see what they have had in the past, what has been effective, etc. And he asks very detailed questions about the results you’ve seen between sessions so that he can alter his plan accordingly. He is easy to talk to and makes me feel completely at ease. He clearly cares about his clients. When I randomly asked him about acne treatments, he found an available aesthetician for a consultation within a few minutes for me.

Nurse gabby is amazing! I had laser hair removal with her as well and she made sure that the process was as pain free as possible. She constantly checked to see how I was doing throughout the process. Gabby was able to relate her own experiences with laser hair removal so I felt well- taken care of. She understood what my goals were and outlined the whole process from the beginning. She was fun to talk to and also made the time fly by, just like nurse Robbie. They are the BEST team!
