I've stayed here twice. No issues w/ the first one which was only a Thursday night. The second experience was three nights and negative enough I won't be back.
Unlike other reviewers, I had no issues w/ cleanliness. I appreciated the real, non-Kuerig coffee so that's a point in the "lofts" favor. My main issues were getting access and the a/c. I echo previous comments about the temperature of the room. It became so hot about 4.30 am that I woke up to check that the mini-split was still working. It was, just not very well.
The other issue was "the code will be provided closer to your arrival." The code wasn't provided prior to my arrival. I had to ask, but fortunately the response w/ the correct code came about 15 minutes after I requested it. So while it was annoying that I couldn't relax in the room upon arrival, it wasn't a long delay. The lack of suitable HVAC is definitely a deal breaker for future visits.
I really wanted to support this business more. I visit Dallas about once a month and I like the decision that Bardo Lofts has chosen to fit into the neighborhood by height and exterior design. I second the comment about small parking spots but there's no shortage of Hilton's or Marriot's w/ large parking garages. Read moreI would give this place 0 stars. I reserved one of the units back in April for a 3 night stay in October. They drafted the full amount of the stay twice in September. They then purposefully cancelled my reservations 6 days before were scheduled to come and processed a refund without no email notification. The only way I found out was when I saw the refund "in process" from my bank account. I contacted them and asked what was going on. They stated they received a notification that I had cancelled at 3:42 on a Friday. I specifically stated, that I did not cancel, and could they provide me with the email, screenshot, that they so call received, because I sure as hell did not receive one. Of course, I NEVER received any sort of confirmation, email or anything from their end. She stated that there must have been a system glitch because they changed to a new system/app. I then asked is the unit still available and she stated, "yes". I asked her could I go ahead and reserve it again, and she stated no because the "System" would probably cancel it again. Less than 15 minutes later, I received an email that the unit was cancelled, I will receive a refund, and the unit is now longer available.

We asked for an early entry (2hours or so) and were presented with an option to pay $50 or so. Which we didn’t think you were allowed to do on Airbnb. After we said no, but arrived 10 minutes early at the property we were denied entry until the moment it turned 3pm
We were told that we couldn’t go in early because it was being cleaned, but the floor was absolutely FILTHY. I walked without my shoes on for 5 minutes and they were black with dirt. The tops of cupboards and sliding boards were thick with dust and hair.
The worst most dangerous aspect was that the balcony door did not lock. We could see in reviews that this was reported as a problem 4 months before and they’ve done nothing to fix it. If you are a single traveler or you’re worried about your safety then do not stay here. It’s not an exaggeration to say that it’s a major safety concern that the owners just don’t care about.
