Summary: Decent for kids, not adults ā¦
Wanted to be efficient in regular cleanings, checkups, etc so chose this place for the child friendliness but acceptance of adult patients too.
First appt, they were great with daughter, same the second.
With me, first appt they identified 4 or so cavities. Came back, received fillings & cleaning.
Six months later per prophylactic standards, return and I have 3 more cavities?? One of which is verging on root canal, so Iām told?
So I was given local anesthetic injections before working on the most problematic molar, however⦠The drilling was SO painful, I felt the agony of the pulp / nerve. Was given another injection and then left completely alone for at least 30-40 minutes, feeling anxious & panicky. Finally the dentist returns and I still had enough sensation while drilling to be massively uncomfortable.
Then finally, as that tooth was being sealed & finished, the dentist tried to subtly ask the technician if sheād missed a decay spot? In a different tooth! Like how would you not know with tons of uncomfortable X-rays over 2 appts?
Before I was checked out that day, they did a ton more of the introductory sort of X-rays, which to me did not seem standard. And naturally those hurt a lot too. I felt like they were second guessing or double checking something without communicating about it.
Continued to have pain under the tooth randomly - AND got billed for a cleaning they did NOT provide.
A year later that same tooth broke and I am in a new town (but would have sought a new provider anyway.) Turns out the tooth was never in need of a root canal and the filling was improperly sized for the tooth.
So now I have a crown, but found a provider that numbed me properly and kept me comfortable and informed.
Long story short - this place does well enough with children who need basic checkups / cleanings.
Do NOT trust them with anything non-routine or if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy dentist experience in this country is bad so I might be a little biased but I have to say I think this clinic and a lot others are just trying to take advantage of the lack of expert knowledge and play people's fear recommending all of those unnecesary procedures (mostly crowns in every single baby tooth that hasn't fallen), I've consulted dentist acquaintances outside of the U.S. and they would never recommend crowns UNLESS there is extensive damage to the tooth. This practice is commom in the U.S because they make bank out of the insurances and specially MEDICAID. We might have not been brought up in this first world country but a lot of us hispanics aren't ignorants from the jungle and it is insulting that thet try to play with the paternal insticts to protect and do what's best for your child to "recommend" things just for profit. Whatever happened with the lesser invasive dental work? I guess it doesn't look good in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first bad experience with dental... I went in for a some fillings on Wednesday; paid in full but received poorly and very unsatisfied procedure. I felt something was off the moment they took X-rays at the end.. Later that evening when I was trying to have a meal, the areas that were filled, started to extremely hurt. (I did not have any pain before the process) My don't even feel like teeth, they feel uneven, and unprofessionally done! Called the next day and they asked if I wanted to go to a different location to see the same doctor who did the procedure and I refused. I asked to be seen this Saturday and the person said they had Saturday 21st available even though I clearly stated I'm in pain. Honestly that made me feel like they didn't care. So I'm very upset!! Because here I awake having trouble sleeping due to those areas with pain, gum inflammation, and a headache that...
