I loved it here for 2 years and chose to pay them $300 more/month to upgrade to a bigger unit for another year. I wouldnât take time to write a review about typical apartment issues, such as noise or crime. But what I dealt with was unacceptable and important for anyone whoâs considering living here, to be aware of.
The way this place is run is laughable. My lease was up in May, I wanted to transfer to a bigger unit. They didnât respond to me about this until JUNE. A month after my lease ended. I was told they'd get back to me on what units would be available. I was in the dark on whether I could transfer for 2 months. I regret not leaving then.
In July my AC was out & it took them 3 days to respond to the maintenance request. I couldnât use my dryer, the manager said he put in a maintenance request for it. After a couple of weeks went by, I followed up again, and he said he never submitted it but thought he didâŚ
Cigarette smoke/overall cleanliness: I transferred to a bigger unit at the end of June that was full of cigarette smoke. I got sick within my first week of living there. My doctor provided a letter saying I needed to leave as I have asthma/am allergic to tobacco, and was having breathing problems. The property manager did not address this for 2 weeks after I made the original complaint.
Ma'Tyia was helping me initially, and she is the best thing about this property. She was kind, consistently attentive and helpful, but unfortunately, my situation needed attention from management (Kennedy).
I developed a cough that I still have, going on 3 months now. I had frequent asthma attacks and lost my voice from the smoke in my unit, which also got into my furniture and clothes. I asked to transfer 5 different times, providing my doctor's note. Management pushed back to try to get rid of the smell first, but it did not work. I let them know each time they tried to clean it, that my health was compromised and I needed to transfer despite their efforts to clean the unit. Not only was my unit gross, but there were still residents actively smoking cigs on my floor. After 7 weeks of going back and forth with multiple written and in-person requests to transfer, the property manager said I could transfer after I sent pics of cigarette butts. This is not the protocol thatâs stated in their lease or Section 92.056 of the Texas Code.
After weeks of compliance and patience for them to resolve an issue on their part, I was told that they had used all resources to help me with âmy problemâ.
Outside of the smoke, the place was dirty when I moved in. The pictures attached are from my move in day. The previous tenant had not fully moved their belongings out of the unit which I ended up moving since management wasnât responsive.
I was finally able to break my lease and found another apartment managed by a more competent company. It is bigger,...
Read moreBeen holding back on this review but Iâm honestly mad rn lol. Let me start by saying this complex is beautiful, very chic and boho and the location is amazing, all these things are what led us to sign here. Well everything seemed great for the first few months, then it started to go downhill. Hallways smell horrible from time to time, the leasing office will literally NEVER answer the phone, the garage gates always broken for days at a time, then the power outages. There would be no power in the hallways for multiple days, so we would literally have to use flashlights to navigate the hallways at night because it was pitch black. This most recent time it was over two weeks of this to the point that Some people even started putting out actual lamps next to their front doors which is so embarrassing for the complex. But what led me to finally write this review is the lack of security. Last week they sent out a mass email that the package room had been robbed. (Donât even get me started on the chaos of the package room⌠a tiny room where all the packages for the whole complex would just get thrown in there) I wasnât even surprised, in fact I was wondering how this hadnât happened yet, because along with the garage gates always being broken, one of the main entrances to the building had a door that wouldnât latch all the way if you didnât force it to. Meaning anyone could access the hallways via the garage or that entrance. Well a few weeks ago we realized that some stuff had been stolen out of our storage unit that is across the hall from our apt. We thought maybe we didnât close the door all the way? Within the last two weeks we have found our storage unit door wide open, as well as our neighbors storage in it doors. We have had professional cameras, music production speakers, power tools, headphones, all stolen. I even tried to call the leasing office once I realized it was clear someone was picking locks, but of course they didnât answer. I left a voicemail stating I know this is why I have renters insurance, but I think itâs something they should be aware of. Never got a response. Writing this today finally because we are packing to move out and are realizing even more stuff has been stolen from our storage unit, and we know for a fact it was on multiple occasions. Donât move here if you care about...
Read moreI highly advise against this location. The area and presentation are nice, but thatâs about it. I experienced several issues over my year stay and they were hardly ever addressed. The first major concern I had is that I was bitten by my neighbors dog and no lease violation was given. The property manager at the time Kennedy stated that Dallas animal services determined there was no violation. The violation happened because I made the report and the resident whose pet was at fault didnât report it. City of Dallas shouldnât have played a factor in a lease violation, it happened on the private property. Secondly, I had a neighbor downstairs who made several misleading posts and calls that constituted neighbor harassment, such as complaining when my toddler was visiting due to noise even though it was outside of quiet hours. This even happened during my move out, the neighbor downstairs called to complain about noise at 11am. The cleaners were just upstairs cleaning, I wasnât even home. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am, so why am I being called by office staff at 11am asking what Iâm doing in my own apartment⌠the person who called is part of the new staff too. The new staff is also unprofessional and develop attitudes when you remind them of the things you endure while living there. As a resident Iâve had my car broken into, been woken up by random alarms, and had to live without hall way lights for weeks at a time. Every time I brought up a concern it was ignored. One of the side doors stayed broke for months allowing homeless to enter parking garage. When I reminded this team about the things Iâve endured, they always develop an attitude and say âI wasnât a part of that teamâ. That was done by Alexia and property manager Valeria several times. The property manager is also very defensive and confrontational. My lease ended on the 20th and for some reason I was being asked to move out the 17th. They also tried entering my apartment while I was still there because of a miscommunication. This group of management is just as rude and unprofessional. I considered them calling me to discuss noise at 11am harassment on their part too. The quiet hours were established by them. Why would I be called if itâs outside of...
