I'm giving you one star because there's no way to give you minus zero and write a review. Yesterday night I was looking for a pair of shoes and I found the perfect ones there. First the man who was helping me, because he asked me for, I never asked him for help, wanted me to take the first pair I chose, then, when I was sure of what I wanted asked him to bring me those. The pair he gave me looked like a very used shoes, so I told him to change it. He came and said, there's no more on your size, so you have to buy those ones, I didn't accept. I asked him to verify in other store to make a hold so I can go and buy it. This man, with his bad mood on his face looked in the computer and told me the system showed one in Frisco. I asked him to call and ask to hold the pair because was just one. He with his really bad mood give me the list with the stores numbers, phone numbers and addresses and told me: "Ok! There's the list, look for the store, call them and ask." "Do I need any reference number for that?" "Yes, this is the number" I was very surprised but I called the store and, surprise, they don't work with the brand I was looking for.
At the end I bought the same shoes in Macy's. Macy's at Northpark didn't have my size but the associates, without have to ask for, looked in the system and told me there were some available in Mesquite, a little far away, I asked him how I could be sure and he called them, and asked to hold it and he told me; "Just because you need the shoes for Saturday, you have to go to Mesquite store otherwise I can make the order to this store but it's going to take a little more". I was tired, but really happy and drove to Mesquite to get my shoes.
Some people needs to learn about customer service. I understand they pay them for sales commissions, but no matter what, you have to try to take care of your customers. I paid 8 more dollars for my shoes, but the service was incredible and he really took care of me and understood it was for my Christmas activity so he told me; "You have to be happy with all you are going to wear." Dillard's needs to teach their employees to be more customer service oriented. Believe me, I will not going back again to any Dillard's to buy anything, I'm...
Read moreWe purchased a pair of Steve Madden sneakers at the Dillard's in NorthPark Mall, Dallas, Texas on Feb 19, 2022. In less than two months the sole was coming off the right shoe. I went to return them today, April 19, 2022 and was denied by their customer service department.
At first it was because I didn't have the receipt or the box. I produced a proof of purchase screen shot of the account which we used to pay for the shoes. Then they said it had to be less than 30 days. I read them their return policy on the wall by the counter which only said 30 days applied to cash or credit refunds. Then the customer service person said they did not accept worn items for return. I again pointed out the return policy posted right there in the customer service area of the store where it clearly said they would accept worn items for return if there was a manufacturer defect.
I have attached pictures of the shoe showing where the sole on the right shoe has come unattached from the shoe and after only 2 months of wear by a small child. I would call this a manufacturers defect, wouldn't you?? Then she made the claim that they were clearly "worn out," which they clearly are not.
Does Dillard's always refuse to honor their return policy which is posted in the customer service department of the store?? Have they even read the return policy? I had to read it to them several times and each time they would try to come up with a different reason for not accepting them for return.
And since when are Dillard's shoes not manufactured well enough to last more...
Read moreIf I could give my experience tonight zero stars I would. I was invited to the holiday after hours party from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. My friend and I were there to shop but the associates were busy eating and dancing. It took quite some time to get a fitting room. We got one around 9:10 pm thinking we had 20 mins to try things on and make out final purchases. That was not the case. Katie, the manager in duty plus a male co-worker bombarded the dressing room while my friend was re-dressing and asked us to leave. We had been there for 3 hours gathering items to finish Christmas shopping and we were asked to leave because the lights were scheduled to go off. It seems absolutely absurd that you would schedule a private event until 9:30 pm and that the lights shut off at 9:45 pm not considering people would need to check out. I request that Katie provide her business card but she refused so I even question if she was the manager in duty or just a rude, unprofessional employee who just wanted to go home. I am extremely disturbed by the service tonight and won't be shopping at Dillard's again. We were humiliated and then escorted out, no apology can make up for that feeling. I don't recommend...
