Update- I was refunded for the service due to the situation.
I came into get a massage last week, and while the massage itself was great, I had noticed my massage therapist had a bad cough throughout. I then received a voicemail the next afternoon saying my massage therapist tested positive for COVID.
I have been told numerous times on the phone that the staff is not worried or concerned, and there's nothing they could have done.
Clearly, the massage therapist was concerned enough to go and get tested based on her symptoms... so it's astonishing they would say this to me after confirming she has it and I was in an enclosed room with her touching and breathing on me.
I have expressed my severe concern as I was directly exposed on their behalf, and have been told "well it's not our fault, you could get COVID anywhere". At the very least, the staff should be taking precautions seriously, but apparently they are not concerned about their patients health.
I am writing this because I've been told at least 10 times they are not concerned or worried, even though they know they have irresponsibly...

I'm giving the 2 stars all due to the poor customer service at the front desk. When I arrived the lady at the desk asked for my name and I gave it to her. She proceeded to tell me I didn't have an appointment. I asked to confirmed this was the Mockingbird address and she said yes. She asked me what time was my appointment I told her 2pm she told me again I didn't have an appointment. I was about to call my daughter whom set up my appointment when she said I found it my computer was frozen from 11am. Then she proceeded to ask me how are you paying for it. I asked what do you mean it has been paid for already upfront. She says again oh my computer is frozen. Totally unacceptable horrible customer service. Read moreI have been a member at the Lakewood Elements Massage since shortly after they opened. I have had many therapists and all have been very professional and provided a great massage.
What truly distinguishes Elements are its policies and its staff. They are very generous with regard to who may use the massages accumulated through membership - basically if you ask if your daughter, husband, friend can use one of your credits, they permit it. Today, my daughter and I had 90 minute massages scheduled. I found out an hour before that my daughter was too sick to go. I called Elements to explain and cancel, knowing there would be a cancellation charge for each - and I expected to pay the cost of the sessions. In fact, the cancellation charge was only $35 per session, but the young woman who answered the phone was able to fill the slots with other clients in less than an hour. She called me back to say there was no charge to cancel. THAT is great...
