I found The Tailor Shop after doing a Google search, and I am so glad I did!! A friend had recommended a seamstress to me, and while she worked hard altering my wedding dress, she hadn’t completed the job. I’m a shorty, so my “custom” dress (should have fit like a glove and been the perfect length but it wasn’t) needed to be altered at the waist, as my dress has a beautiful lace border on the bottom with a lot of beading that she didn’t want to have to take off and put on again. Needless to say, when she gave it back to me, it looked like two separate pieces at the waist. The dress never had a waistline to begin with, so it looked odd, it was crooked, and I felt that the dress I had fallen in love with was destroyed. I was devastated until I called Orlando, who told me to bring it to him so he could take a look at it. He and his wife were very sweet and made me feel completely at ease as they tried to think of a solution for my dress. I was very nervous leaving my dress in the hands of people I barely knew, but trust me when I say that Orlando and his team are THE BEST in Dallas hands down! I picked up my dress today, and they made it look just as it did the first time I tried it on! I fell in love with my dress all over again thanks to The Tailor Shop. I don't know where to start. I was going to wait until my life was back to normal before I wrote this review but I couldn't wait. Mrs. Audrey is absolutely AMAZING! I walked in with a full dress that I didn't like! I had no idea if anybody could pull of the look that I was going for. Well, the dress that I left with today has far exceeded my expectations! Mrs. Audrey has made my dream dress a reality. Honestly, I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect dress!! I recommend The Tailor Shop Dallas for all of your alterations and if you need a dream come true, you can get it here! That's a promise! Everyone is so nice, I am sad that today was my last day! I looked forward to seeing them every two weeks, LOL. Mrs. Audrey and Orlando made me feel like family. They are my extended family. Mrs. Elizabeth is very sweet, as well. I will update my review when I leave with my dress in a few weeks. UPDATE Picked it up today. They made my gown beautiful and did absolutely everything to fix all the damage from another shop. I just want to say, everyone come here. They are the nicest people and down to earth. They saw my butchered wedding gown and felt the same way I did. They were open and honest and made it clear what could and couldnt be done. I am betting my messed up gown will be perfect for my wedding day. AND IT IS!! AND- just for clarity do not take your stuff to the fitting room. But if you accidently do, the tailor shop can fix it. Theyre caring and understanding, they want you to have a perfect outfit.
