After 4 months, I’m long overdue to leave a review. This is a top-notch gym. I came from a traditional health club chain and was very set in my routine but had the urge to try something different. I trialed 6 different CrossFit gyms and this box was my favorite by a landslide. The coaches are very experienced and enthusiastic, the cue’s and pointers they give are invaluable. The coaching isn’t generic at all, each take the time to learn your goals and limitations and care about your progress. There are movements I thought would take me a year to achieve that I now do comfortably. The programming is very well thought out as well. When I joined, I expected I would continue my own workouts and maybe do a metcon a couple times a week to keep my cardio in check. The programming addresses each muscle group but has enough variation and mobility work to prevent injury. I considered myself strong when I started but have since added over 100lbs on most of my PR’s while significantly increasing muscle endurance. I probably do 90% classes because of the quality of coaching/programming but I love the fact they have a separate open gym section available during all business hours. Finally, you can tell the owner, Alex K., is invested in his gym and members. There is an incredible variety of equipment which is always clean and well maintained and the aesthetic of the gym space is awesome. The bathroom/changing rooms are nicer than many top-notch health clubs, let alone CrossFit gyms. If you’re looking for a new gym or challenge I highly recommend stopping in for a free visit. Has been great throughout Covid, and couldn’t imagine going to a different gym! Thoroughly cleaned after each class, limited capacity, limited open gym.
Coaches: Becca - one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. Will push you to your limits and past what you think you’re capable of. Also will make sure the workout is tailored to you it need be. Focuses on the small stuff, skill stuff, and not sexy stuff that is going to make you better in the long run. I go to her Am classes and do personal sessions. Have improved exponentially.
Armando - funniest person you’ll meet, and will push you to your limit for sure. Make sure you aren’t slacking around him or he will call you out! (In his own funny way) Saturday’s are always a blast and everyone loves his class. Also does SO much for the gym that isn’t seen and we are so grateful for him!
Bryce - great coach, great programming!!! Have only had him coach me once BUT he does the programming and it has only made me better. He makes sure it’s consistent and that there is an outcome at the end of a cycle!
Owner: Alex - has been wonderful and generous during this pandemic. Let us borrow equipment and made sure we had a workout every day. also Had the gym members set up with a coach on a team who conducted zoom workouts for our group. Additionally has made sure he is as transparent as possible in this unprecedented time. He made countless, thorough, videos about what was going on and new procedures. Read moreI love this gym. I love the classes. I am not a crossfit expert or frankly, very familiar with fitness or weight lifting techniques. But everyone has been so incredibly welcoming, accepting, and helpful. Whether it's the coaches or other members, I really love coming here and pushing myself to be better with their support. My decision is only affirmed hearing from other longtime fitness or crossfit members who have joined other gyms in the metroplex say that both the facilities and operations at this gym are best in class. I especially have to shout out Blaine who made my first class very fun, accessible, and pushed me at just the right level and made me want to come back....
