She kept asking me to leave a review thinking she did a good job so hereâs the review.
They refuse to own their mistakesâIâm now stuck with a dress thatâs the wrong size because of it. If they truly cared about their customers, they wouldâve accepted a return and reordered the correct size. I donât own a single dress this size in my entire life ( I guess now I do, thanks Ultimate).
They measured me while I was wearing a thick sweater and claimed, according to their chart, that I was a size 10. Mind you when you arrive, you fill out a form with your size. I have been a size 6/8 my whole entire adult life. She wrote that I needed size 10 because wedding dresses sizes are âdifferentâ, and told me to sign off because thatâs what their size charts say. The dress arrived andâsurpriseâway too big. She refused to take it back or reorder the correct size, said she told me 10 because I was in between sizes because of my boobs; and instead offering a $50 discount on the veil.
Is it going to cost $50 just to fix this stupid dress? Yeah, thatâs what I thought.
Just got my first quote to fix this dress and the seamstress herself said. If I had the right size It would be perfect fit because of the way the dress is designed. So, I decided to leave the review now because I am now pissed off after seeing the quote.
Yâall just STAY away from this store and you will be a happy bride.
UPDATE â Reply to the store owner below:
Wow, what a lie! I have NOT returned to this store to buy the veil, and I took my dress with me because I didnât trust leaving it there after that ridiculous experience. I actually purchased my veil from Azazie and have NOT set foot in your store since. I also specifically asked Sonia to call the Peabody location to check if they had the correct size in stock, and they refused. So, claiming that I returned to the store is a complete fabrication. I shouldnât be expecting you to have any integrity after this experience anyway.
She told me to get dressed to get measurements. (I thought was odd but I was like ok I guess thats how they do it there or she is uncomfortable to touch with minimal clothes who knows, anyway, I respectfully complied) Therefore again, YOUR mistake, you should have acknowledged the mistake and reordered the correct size.
And spare me the gaslightingâblaming my chest size? I told her, right in front of her daughter (who was just hanging out in the store, unprofessional much?), that Iâm a 36B. There is NO reason Iâd be a size 10. Her brilliant response? âWell, whatâs ordered is ordered.â Seriously? Then, to top off the circus act, she had the nerve to ask if Iâd lost weightâin 2.5 weeks?! Absolutely laughable.
The dress size depends on the stylist now? Yeah, noâthatâs just code for we donât know what weâre doing. Letâs be clear: YOU recommended the size. Even when I hesitated while making the half-payment, your stylist looked me in the eye and said, âNo, dear, TRUST ME, this is your size.â Well, guess what? The dress came in, and it was WRONG.
A competent store with a owner who has integrity wouldâve taken responsibility, sent it back, and ordered the correct sizeâwhich was an 8, not a 10. Instead, you doubled down on your mistake despite me questioning the size from the start. If you canât even get basic measurements right, maybe you shouldnât be in the business of selling dresses.
You better not be lying about this dress being from the 2025 collection, as you claimed. Iâve already contacted the Utah warehouse where you supposedly ordered it...
Read moreI recently had a deeply disappointing experience at this store. Brides shop elsewhere to avoid similar distress.
High-Pressure Sales Tactics: As this was the first bridal shop I visited, I was eager yet nervous about finding âthe dress.â Unfortunately, the staffâs persistent insistence that a particular gown was the best choice, combined with a prolonged three-hour appointment, left me feeling pressured to make an immediate purchase. In hindsight, I realize this high-pressure environment clouded my judgment.
Misleading Sizing Advice: During the fitting, I provided my exact measurements and they even have you fill out an intake form. The staff advised that their dresses ârun smallerâ and recommended ordering a size larger than my usual. Trusting their expertise, I agreed. However, upon receiving the dress, it was significantly too large. When I approached the store about this discrepancy, they refused to acknowledge the error or offer an exchange, citing their strict âall sales are finalâ policy.
Financial and Emotional Strain: This misjudgment has forced me to incur additional costs for alterations to ensure the dress fits properly. The entire ordeal has not only strained my wedding budget but also caused considerable emotional distress during what should be a joyous time.
Overpriced Merchandise: In comparison to other bridal boutiques, I found out that their prices to be excessively high, especially given the subpar customer service and misleading practices. I saw the similar dress to the one I got for $1000 less elsewhere few weeks later, so needless to say I am even more pissed off.
Recommendation: I strongly advise future brides to explore other reputable bridal shops where accurate measurements, transparent sales practices, and fair pricing are standard. Your wedding dress is a pivotal part of your special day; ensure you entrust this responsibility to a boutique that prioritizes your satisfaction and well-being.
I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale and assists others in making informed decisions during their bridal journey. aid unfortunately she canât exchange. What u het if what u get.
DO NOT SHOP...
Read moreAll future brides- shop here!!! You will not regret it. Let me share what happened to me. What would have been a brideâs nightmare turned into a blessing in disguise! Iâm beyond grateful!!
With less than a month until my wedding, getting the run around from a different boutique- no tracking number, delayed shipment, my ânew dressâ finally arrived. It was in the wrong color, had stains, hairs and simply not the same quality. I was mortified, defeated and beyond anxious. I had no idea what to do. I understand heâs marrying me and not the dress, but I was running out of time. Fortunately for me, my Mom knew who to call.
The Ultimate. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Sonia at The Ultimate in Dedham. I overheard my mom speaking with Sonia on the phone. She was so calming, understanding and reassuring. With my Mom being on the verge of tears, an hour commute in nasty weather- Sonia accommodated us last minute. The peace of mind I had was just the beginning.
I was greeted with a giant hug from Sonia. We talked about what I like and what I donât like. I have an open mind so I was willing to wear anything. Some styles looked hilarious on me but I had fun.(those were the styles I picked out ) hey, you never know until you try!
Sonia was very knowledgeable. I was open to whatever fit she suggested for my body shape and comfort level. We worked together with many dresses.
I ultimately fell in love with two. I needed to choose. Soniaâs encouragement and knowledge was huge for my decision. She suggested I try it on as many times as I needed. I even walked the store to get a feel for how the dress would look in different lighting. She never pushed you for a sale.
It was so fun to work with her. Her coworker, whose name I forgot to ask, was so sweet and pleasant. All the ladies that work there were just as excited for me as I was.
Their kindness, selflessness and knowledge are exactly what any bride needs in this experience.
From the bottom of my...
