We've had a few bad experiences with Taylor in sales. He's dishonest and rude. Upon asking about hidden or additional fees in the preview center, months ago he stated clearly that there were no other fees of any kind. Problem is, that he omitted the $35 annual fee for every account. When I asked him about that fee, he responded "oh, you're informed!" instead of addressing his dishonesty. I told him that was his job to inform me. Yesterday we visited the now open location at Beracasa Way in Boca Raton to look it over. We had the misfortune of dealing with Taylor again. He remembered us and his earlier deceit, so he acted very rudely and rushed through a tour and mumbled and looked away from us while talking. He also lied again about the $35 fee stating it would only apply to one of our accounts but not both. When I asked for it in writing, he refused. We asked for a one-week pass which he begrudgingly wrote up. My fiance got a pass good for a week but he wrote my pass up to expire in 1 day, today. This morning she brought the pass to him and asked him why it was backdated by a week and and to correct it and basically ignored her, printed a new pass, left it on the table in front of her and walked away without any discussion or apology or common courtesy. Aside from this awful behavior, this brand new location is already filthy. There was a used band-aid on the edge of the pool on the deck last night and I told Taylor who looked away and mumbled. Today the band-aid was still there. Additionally, we noticed that about half of the cardio machines were covered in sweat. The dash area, handles, and the sides of the machine deck look like they were left out in the rain, except its sweat (the chemical equivalent of urine). I asked a cleaning person if the machines were supposed to be cleaned off regularly, she got defensive and said "I'll clean them now if you want." I told her that I wasn't asking her to clean them, but needed to know if cleaning them was part of the regular maintenance. She said the other crew was supposed to clean them but had obviously not done so. The men's and women's locker rooms have very dirty floors. Paper towel fragments, dirt, foot powder, etc. all over the place. It's already a dump and nobody seems to care or monitor the quality of the cleaning people. It's a shame because there are many positive things that would have my attention if not for the total lack of competent adult supervision of the staff. To the owners, your substantial investment is firmly in harm's way.
Update 7/5/24: Several machines in disrepair. Asked manager when to expect resolution. They said ātakes forever, could be months, corporate handles repairs and not enough staff for all the clubs to handle in a timely mannerā. I asked if it wasnāt worth hassling corporate for better attention. He repeatedly said it wasnāt worth a try and he wouldnāt try. They donāt care about membersā...

Upon signing up with the manager Jeff and even calling prior and talking to a staff member named Matthew prior to going to this location I asked what exactly I needed to bring for my child seeing how heās not yet fully crawling.. ļæ¼(heās 8.5 months).. They said nothing was needed.. Not a chair or anything.. Luckily Iām always prepared because as soon as I walked in the lady (Elizabeth) tonight asked me if I had something to put him in like a stroller or anything because she canāt hold him or anything.. ļæ¼I swung by after my cardio and before the machines and she gave my thumbs up.. Yet when I came back she was in over her head.. There were 10 older kids hovering my poor Giovanni while he was screaming.. Of course she had told me āhe just startedā but then had the audacity to tell me he cried earlier and she asked another CHILD for help! Like what?!?! You asked a four-year-old to help you with my infant? Then she had the nerve to tell me that this was not a good time to come and to come in the morning.. Mind you their hours are only 9-12 and 5-8.. and I work! Needless to say I caused a huge scene upon leaving and she denied everything to mine and the managerās face.. ļæ¼and speaking of manager he was no better.. Mid mommy attack he was more focused on signing a birthday card for one of his employees than listening to the rest of what I had to say.. which made me flip out even more! I will not be bringing myself or my child to that location (Palmetto and Powerline) ever again even if someone else replaces her.. She had my life in her hands.. and sheās lucky I didnāt take hers tonight.. ļæ¼Calling corporate in the morning!!...

I recently visited the LA Fitness gym located on Beracasa Way, and I must say it was one of the most unorganized gym units I've ever encountered. My experience there was consistently frustrating due to the lack of organization, particularly when it comes to the placement of dumbbells.
During the same week, I made an effort to visit the gym at three different times: morning, afternoon, and night. Shockingly, each time I visited, I found the dumbbells scattered and misplaced. I was hoping that maybe the issue was time-specific, but the weights remained a mess even in the morning, which is generally considered a quieter period at the gym.
The disarray of the dumbbells not only made it difficult to find the appropriate weights for my workout but also posed a safety concern. It's important for a gym to maintain a certain level of cleanliness and organization for the benefit of its members. Unfortunately, the Beracasa Way unit fell short in this regard.
I appreciate that gyms can get busy and equipment can be moved around, but this level of disorganization is simply unacceptable. I hope that the management of the LA Fitness Beracasa Way unit takes notice of these issues and takes immediate action to improve the overall organization and cleanliness of the facility.
