I really wish I could give this store a 5 star review however, I cannot. Our child had recently taken up an interest in Vinyl Records and had been begging us to take him to a real record store. He heard about Record store day (also black Friday) and quickly googled the nearest record store, Which was Pats (40 minutes away). It was all he talked about for the entire week leading up to Black Friday. When we arrived at the store it was impressive to see the large, very well organized selection of Vinyl's available and were quickly greeted by a friendly young lady who helped our son locate some Michael Jackson records. My son was curious about the Black Friday sale and inquired the man behind the counter, white haired older gentleman. He responded "everything is on sale until it leaves the store" to which our young child thought everything was on sale for black Friday. He then proceeded to pick out 2 more records and headed for the checkout. When he notice the man ringing up the records at full price he asked "aren't these records on sale for black Friday" to which the man replied, "these records are full price." and rolled his eyes when I informed my son that he would have to put something back as he did not bring enough of his Chore money to purchase all three, he made his selection and prepared to put the other 2 back at which point the man snatched the records from his hand and said "I'll put them back" very rudely. This man went out of his way to be rude, my son did not have to spend his hard earned money at a small business today as he could have bought the record at any large retailer for a cheaper price. We will...
Read moreI had been to this record store prior to this experience and was quite satisfied. This is why I am giving it an extra star. On this particular occasion me and my friend were browsing records for some time and my friend asked the man running the store (who I assume was the owner) several questions about various records. The man seemed to get annoyed by my friends questions using an increasingly rude tone of voice with each question. When we finally checked out my friend found out that he did not have enough money on his card to purchase both of the records he wanted. While deciding which record my friend wanted to keep, the manager became very impatient with him and said "Come on make a decision I'm ten minutes late". My friend was unable to decide quick enough and the manager slammed one of the records down and said "congratulations" in a very condescending voice and gave my friend the record for free. He then essentially kicked us out and proceeded to close the store about two hours early. I used to like this place but after having the owner treat his own customers in such a rude manner makes me reluctant to...
Read moreStore was clean and organized, the man at the cash register was also very friendly.
My first time in a record store as I am new to vinyls and I am very pleased! I bought two records there one for $10 (KISS Rock n' Roll Over) and one for $7 (Journey Frontiers) When I returned home both were in near mint and mint condition!
They had so many records there that caught my eye with extremely good prices! It was a magical experience! Unwrapped stuff, wrapped stuff, $1.00 discount boxes, CD Boxes, New Releases, A box full of weird but interesting records, even stuff for kids! -The list goes on!
They had and unopened Ride the Lightning Vinyl That was remastered edition for only 19-22 dollars! My eyes bugged out when I saw it! Some lucky duck will surely snatch that up before I return.
I'll definitely have to come back with some friends or family members in the future! Would HIGHLY recommend this place! It's insane and I was only in there for a little over...
