POC are advised to avoid. I have been there 3 times, with months between each visit and every time I have been there I have been treated unbelievably disrespectfully. I know it is Delaware, and even my cousin in law told me to be “careful” in the area, which I know to be careful anywhere. But the workers treat POC like vagrants, if they even acknowledge you at all. Every time I’ve had a working stand in front of me for over 5 minutes to take my order, even when I’ve tried to get their attention. I’ve literally never even been greeted there! It’s like they do everything possible to get you to walk away. Last time my hot coffee was lukewarm and service was rude, while my white husband was greeted and made a pipping hot coffee, by the same person. Last week I stood in line for 10 minutes, with 4 other people behind me, and a worker literally right in front of me while I stood at the counter. And then a woman walked right in in front of me and was served immediately! And this was after the worker was just rude to someone standing in line! This is not people having a bad day or lack of staff, this is just straight up DISCRIMINATION! No coffee should ever be good enough to treat people...

My daughter wanted to visit this place. Try the Cafe and look at the antiques. She found 3 items she wanted, but no price on them. There were two young ladies running the store and they got pretty busy with customers orders. The 2 of them did very well and people were willing to wait to order and get their order. We got and we're pleased enough with the variety of lattes we ordered(4 different very small drinks) when we got an opening we asked the price of the items my daughter wanted. The young lady had to call an owner and it took a while for a reply. It was good we were not in a hurry. We sat far longer 40 some minutes to an hour waiting for a price. The young lady apologized numerous times was very pleasant but it was not her fault or position to just handle it. I was just suggesting we go elsewhere and maybe check back later ( we were 1 1/2 hour from home) when a relative of ownership arrived. We still had to wait a while longer, but got what my daughter wanted they took good care of us price wise ( I guess) I was pleased with that and the young ladies and the one who helped us...

Nice, atmospheric coffee shop. A unique interior design. It has spaces for sitting and working on laptop. Flavors are nice. Service is friendly and quick. They have decaf options for mocha which is always a plus. Price is ok. Parking may be difficult since you have to do parallel parking on the main street where space can be limited.

Update on the second visit 5 star dropped to 2 stars and here is why: The use of space is incredibly inefficient. They filled the majority of seating area with junk and this leaves only limited seating availble. Staff is not flexible. For instance we couldn't find seating and asked if we can sit the empty bar chairs which are reserved for staff but were not in use at the time and there were plenty of them. They categorically rejected and did not try to accommodate us. The offer they came up with was outside seating on a rainy day with 38F temperature and 20mph wind. Are you kidding me!? I won't come here again. They should train their staff for...

Coffeeology I probably wouldn’t have discovered had it not been for being up in Delaware for an auto body shop service. Anywho, Coffeeology is a unique, quaint space that is as comfortable as it is cozy. It’s open, airy, patrons were enjoying themselves yet were quiet enough so I could work (I’m remote). WiFi wasn’t the best, so unfortunately I ended up using my hotspot. There was a lovely small 4 seater bar table set up that faced the street — great for people watching. My drink was a seasonal option — a lavender honey latte. It was well crafted: not overly sweet or floral with the coffee itself coming through as the dominate profile. There’s lots of various trinkets for sale (think Bloody Mary and other cocktail mixers, syrups, merchandise, clothing, etc). There’s lots to like. My main beef was the WiFi was a bit lacking in power and there was sadly not many outlets if you needed a charge. Would go again and play wifi roulette though. Go give em a visit! The coffee was solid.

We have been to Coffeology several times and we love this place. We have been here more times than anything in Delaware and have recommended this to all of our friends and family. Unfortunately, we were super disappointed today regarding the service of Coffeology. We asked for light ice but they didn't have the courtesy to fill the drink to the size of the cup ordered (large) due to the sole fact that we asked for light ice. This is the first time we have ever experienced this. The barista after stating what the standard size was didn't care to show any courtesy to remake the drink or supposedly "add" more other than ice to the drink. A large size was ordered and we paid the price for it but the service that was received for it was subpar. The drink was delicious but we are highly disappointed at the service given today.
