My mom got my boyfriend and I gift cards for Christmas to this salon and I was a bit hesitant because Iāve been going to the same salon for years and every time I try a new place Iām filled with disappointment but I figured Iād give it a shot. We went in for pedicures about 3 hours before closing. Since I have never been to this location I needed to see a menu of the types of pedicures they provide to see what I want in which I had to ask for which wasnāt a big issue but a bit unorganized. Once we chose the pedicure we were interested in I asked if we could add callus removal and they agreed. I also asked to add acrylic to my pedicure. The callus removal was different than I usually experience being as they just used the same pumice stone they would have used regardless if we didnāt add the callus removal and Iām use to the traditional foot file but I didnāt mention anything. My boyfriendās pedicure took about 10 minutes in total⦠no foot soak or anything. Once he started applying the acrylic he informed me this add on would be 67.00 so I wanted to clarify because I wasnāt sure if he meant just for the acrylic or in total with the pedicure and he informed me it was separate so in total it would be 107.00. I was a bit surprised but thatās how I always get my pedicures so I told him thatās fine. I was speaking with my boyfriend about how expensive it is compared to the salon we usually go to which is a very high end salon with way better prices. I was speaking low as I wasnāt trying to offend the staff but I was shocked. The nail tech stopped and said āif you donāt want it I can take them off I donāt make the prices.ā So I responded that I understand he doesnāt make the prices and Iām not complaining but that I was just shocked at the price difference but that I would like him to continue. About 5 minutes after the woman who did my boyfriends pedicure came and asked me if Iād be paying for him which I thought was extremely disrespectful but I didnāt mention it and just responded that we were on the same tab. Shortly after that another woman came and asked how we were paying and I said that I had a gift card and the remaining Iād pay with Apple Pay and she said to let her know when I was ready. About 5 minutes after she came back again and asked if she could run the gift cards so we gave them to her and she came back with my remaining balance and told me I could pay when Iām ready. At this point I was on the phone and I was still only half way through my pedicure. She came back a third time and asked if I could give her my phone so she can complete my payment however I was on the phone and I told her that when Iām finished I would pay. I didnāt feel comfortable giving her my phone with my accounts linked so that she could close my check as I donāt know her and I donāt know what she may do with my information. I found this to be an extremely unpleasant experience as I was harassed for payment, the pedicures were extremely basic and quick, the nail tech cut my cuticle 2 times and it was bleeding and burning, and they were just over all very sassy and rude. I wouldnāt care if the next service was free, I would NEVER return. I should have stuck to my first mind and went to my regular salon. I was treated like a criminal as if I was going to leave without paying for the service. Not to mention the attitude I received from the nail tech for discussing the difference in cost from this salon to my usual in my private conversation with my boyfriend. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience was the most annoying and embarrassing time. If I were a visitor to the downtown Delray area and this was my experience it would have given me a bad taste in my mouth for this area as it seems they up the price because they know this is a popular area for tourists and most people like to be pampered while on vacation....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs Iām writing this review Iām literally crying my eyes out. I wasnāt wounded in combat serving this country just to come back and be treated like trash. I walked in with my wife (my wife is white and I am blackā¦.. thatās important why? ) I asked to have my hands and feet done and my wife wanted her nails removed and manicure and pedicure as well. My wife was right away pulled off and they started her hands, after waiting 30 minutes they finally get me someone to do my feet. She never asked me if I wanted polish. she just did the manicure then stopped after cleaning my nails and told me her next client was here so I needed to get up. After getting up and waiting next to the receptionist desk for over an hour my wife walked up to me and said whatās going on when they found your nails? I told her that I didnāt want them done anymore because of the way Iām being treated. After another 30 minutes a nail tech goes to the receptionist and says this guy had been waiting for over an hour whatās going on. She says he said he didnāt want anything. Thatās when I spoke up and said you havenāt told me anything! You havenāt asked me anything! I told my wife to is is how Iām feeling and not once have you come to me and said sorry we are finding someone. She says well you are a man and men donāt work on men you have to wait for a woman. I said okay no one told me this. She make a face then threw her hands up and walked away. I guess she saw a black guy and just assumed that customers service isnāt something that needs to be awarded to the black community. This bad review is solely for the girl who was upfront she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst mani cure experience I had. I had a person named Jeff. He was a very nice guy, but his skills are terrible. First he used his dirty finger nails lined with black dirt to clean up the nail polish around my fingers instead of a brush. Second, I asked him if I could pay on between my pedicure and manicure he Simply replied pay later. Once I was almost done with my gel manicure I asked how much will everything be. He stated the price and told me for a gel manicure was double the price. Looking down at my nail which I already thought were painted by a 5 year old who played in the mud earlier that day; i asked if he could fix them. He tried using a nail file to file off the over polished cuticle area. Not really making much of an impact at all. I left very upset and wanting to speak with a manager. I called back and spoke to a nice gentleman who told me he would give my info to the receptionist. The receptionist i believe name tanisha, called me back with such an attitude. She relayed the info that the manger would be out of the office on a ātripā and doesnāt know when they will return. I asked her why didnāt the gentleman from earlier relay this information and her replay with the worst attitude was ābecause I am the receptionistā. Thank you for stating your job title to far. I was simply trying to handle the matters with the manager of the solan. I would not go back to this place if you are interested in a regular manicure with gel polish. The prices are crazy and the service is even worse. The receptionist is horrible and the I am sorry but Jeffās dirty fingers were...
