Kay Jewelers is the WORST company when it comes to customer service. My now husband purchased my engagement ring in July of 2020. The ring was sent off to be sized after he proposed in August. The ring came back and was snug but I thought that it was the correct size. I am not a big jewelery person so I didn't know if that was how it was supposed to fit. Fast forward a year and we bought our wedding bands and again had my band sent out to be sized correctly. It came back and felt snug also but again I thought that was right. When I got home I tried on together and realized they were too tight. I ended up taking them to get sized again and was told to wait because they were backed up and couldn't guarantee when they would be back but it was a month out. So today I took them in and they charged me $220 to have both rings sized up. However, while I was there it was confirmed by an employee and assistant manager that both rings were not even the size they had been sent out to be sized to originally. So the original purchases were not sized correctly to begin with. I am very unhappy and will be making sure every single person I encounter knows that Kay Jewelers is the worst company. After sending receipts and talking to multiple people they offered me a piddly 20% off. I understand it's better than nothing but this was their mistake and they aren't taking ownership. Read moreI purchased an engagement ring and band from this location and sent it off to the service center for fitment and engraving. After being notified that the ring was ready for pickup I drove to the store at 7:15pm to pick it up since the hours listed on the website stated they were open until 8pm. Unbenounced to me they closed at 7pm and did not update their hours. So I tried again at 10:30 am the next day since they open at 10am. Once again, I was greeted with closed doors as they apparently open at 11. I came back a THIRD time to pick it up and was told that it did indeed arrive the day prior, but was not engraved, so it was returned to the service center without even asking me and nobody ever told us. So now in approximately a week and a half I have to return a FOURTH time to pick up something that should have been in my hands already.
The staff at this location and in the processing/ service center is innatentive at best and have successfully moved my future sales to another company. This type of customer service is...
Read moreWe have gotten our rings inspected within 6 months ever since bought them in 2019. They have a high turn over rate and when we visited in December to have our rings inspected here the “new girl” didn’t put our inspection in the system as the manager “Cam said we should make sure they aren’t just cleaning them but inspecting them so it goes in the system.” As if that is our job? I was told to look through my email for inspection emails, as I should have gotten one the “last time I was there” and I haven’t had one inspection email since 2016. “Cam the manager whose been there two years but has never seen us” even though we bought jewelry in December refused to honor a warranty for a missing diamond. One of their employees switched stores due to the poor lack of management. We have bought so many things from here but are just done with them. No wonder we’ve been told not...
