I don't know if last night was just an off night, but what has happened to this place?

Last night I picked up a Toon for Two, a $42+ platter, our favorite, and got it home and everything was terrible. The steak wasn't cooked. It was tough and rubbery. The chicken kabob was overcooked and dry. The fried cabbie was undercooked. I don't know what the hell they've done to their falafel? They used to be perfect little pillows all fluffy, moist. Now they're like paintball pellets hard, flavorless and dry. Fel-AWEFUL!

The grape leaves were missing. The hummus was Baba Ghanoush. The only redeeming qualities were the shish kata, shawarma and rice. It's a huge bummer when you make the trek to one of your favorite places, drive 45min there and 45min back home and find everything is off. I'm not too eager to give them another try, but hope this was just a bad night. They used to taste so fresh and flavorful. Last night tasted like the results of inflation. Cost cutting and uninspired.

My friend Gregg put it best when he said this place's food is a miracle. Every time I go there I nearly break into tears because of how God damn flavorful the food is.

You ever eat something so good that it makes you slow down, close your eyes and you start hearing that Kenny G Songbird song in your head because it tastes so good that you think you have fallen in love with some falafel? You will if you go here.

I'm honestly astounded that this place isn't the most famous Middle Eastern restaurant in Michigan. Their Toon for Two is a national treasure and you cannot beat the price.

Went here the other day on a second date, they were slammed! So we ordered and decided to go sit out on the patio to talk and wait for our food. It wasn't until after an hour of talking that we realized the parking lot had been cleared and then we had realized that we had been forgotten. Both of us have worked in customer service so we weren't worried about it, but when I went to check on our food they apologized up and down and even insisted on refunding our meal. I'm glad we waited though because even late the meal was absolutely great and the servers did their best to not only save our evening but to handle such a busy rush as they ran food out to cars in the rain. Yes we were late to the movies but we still got to enjoy our platter for two in the parking lot and share an interesting date in sure neither of us will forget anytime soon! I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in Lansing and recommending them to anyone I know in the area! Thank you all once again for being so prompt and kind when making up for the mistake, your staff really saved this one for you so I hope the owner is treating you all well! You all deserve a raise from the way you handled things, no pushing the blame just straight to solving the problem at hand to make another satisfied customer. All in all they know their Mediterranean food that is certain and their staff knows the how to maintain top notch customer service even when things don't go according to plan. 11/10 for their professional behavior 10/10 for the great food! 10/10 I will go again so stop reading my review and go try them already you won't...

My wife and I hosted my Family Christmas party and decided we wanted to have the meal catered to keep down all the work in preparation for the party. We had 20 people, and it would have been questionable for us to cook everything with one oven, plus a lot of extra work. We contacted Zaytoons initially through messenger and were able to get a lot of good information. We then visited the restaurant and ate there plus talked to the owner “Sam” afterwards. He was very friendly and helped us with what would work best for our situation. We explained that we were planning to pick up the food before the party started and it would be kept warm in the oven for a couple of hours before being served. He helped us understand how the different items will stay fresh when handled properly so it would be delicious even when served after a few hours. The family, including my wife and I, loved everything Zaytoons made. It was quite a hit at our party, all asking where it was from. I highly recommend Zaytoons for Lunch, Dinner, and any catering needs. It was a great decision to go with Zaytoons and I am very thankful to Sam, his wife and all the staff that work there. Our dinner menu, if anyone is interested, was Chicken Shawarma, Deboned Chicken, Rice, Fattouch Salad, Hommous, pita bread and their yummy roles, plus Falafel. All were top...
