I wish I could leave a 100% positive review for this place as I have had some great shopping experiences coming into the store! The staff is super nice and the items are well priced for someone who is crafting on a budget. However, I do have some feedback based on my experience buying tickets for an upcoming event. I bought tickets for the Witch Craft Wednesday event happening on 10/18, and I found out the week of the event that I couldn't fit the event in with my schedule. I reached out via email to see if I could get a refund but didn't receive a timely response. I had called the next day and nobody picked up, and I received an email later in the day saying that refunds were not offered for the event. I feel a little bit frustrated because I do not recall any communication on the website, order, or on social media posts that tickets are non-refundable. I would feel less frustrated if I had clearly known that tickets were non-refundable. I would like to go to events in the future, but I would also like clear communication on whether or not tickets are...
Read moreThistle Creative Reuse is a great place for experimenting artists. The vast array of materials they offer ensures there will be something to catch anyone’s eye. The new-to-you art supplies are all in great condition, and they provide a cheaper and more sustainable alternative to buying at a craft store. This is a great place to come if you are looking to branch out artistically because you aren’t dropping loads of money on something you don’t even know you’ll like, plus you’re sure to find something that interests you that you might want to experiment with. I’m a watercolorist who’s been interested in using inks in my work, but I didn’t want to spend the money on ink in case I didn’t like using them. I came into Thistle today just browsing, and I found a few bottles of beautiful acrylic ink that I bought for just a few dollars, and I think I might be having an artistic breakthrough after using them. Thank...
Read moreGenuinely one of the best places I’ve ever been — like “Scrap” (iykyk) but actually for profit which I hope will enable Thistle to stay in business for many years to come.
Even though they are for profit everything is EXTREMELY affordably priced where people of every income can come to find something to craft with.
I love their mission to create & support the circular economy right here in north Texas while also keeping good items out of the landfill.
Please consider donating even if you think someone may not want your unused materials — they will! What twenty-something collects vintage stamps? ME. That’s who. (So , respectfully, please donate your grandpa’s vintage stamp collection). ;)
Their employees are so kind & helpful and it’s clear to see how much they enjoy what they do.
All around Thistle Creative Reuse is SUCH a class act and I’m so glad they’re in business. I will support them as...
