I'm editing my review of this place. This was at one point my go to for Thai food, but something happened with the ownership and they are more interested in hosting comedy nights then they are serving food. They refuse all orders unless you come in and watch unfunny, inappropriate comedy, which I dont want to do. I just want food to go, and they literally won't do it. I have a 5 year old at home and don't want to be forced to haul him to a "comedy" show just to eat. This place is going downhill and I don't recommend them. A good sign that a restaurant is going downhill is when they refuse to serve people unless you come in and watch a show. Some of us just want food. My wife called to order, and they hung up on her, and when I called to complain, they hung up on me too. We are never coming back, and I advise going to Thai Ocha or Thai on the Square or Tuk Tuk Thai. It is just as good if not better, and you won't be told how or when or where to eat. This place is going to fail horribly, and it is the fault of the ownership because they cannot even accommodate regular customers.
Edit: We went to Tuk Tuk Thai and they have the Thai Fried Rice Fried Chicken and it is just as good. The difference is that Tuk Tuk will actually serve you the food you order.

Read moreAtmosphere: Upon entering Royal Yum, you are greeted with warm lighting. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, with comfortable seating and tasteful decorations. The overall ambiance is relaxed and welcoming.
Food: The menu at Royal Yum is extensive and features a variety of traditional Thai dishes. We started with the spring rolls, which were crispy and filled with fresh veggies. For our entrees, we ordered the drunken noodles and the chicken lettuce wraps. The drunken noodles was cooked to perfection with the right balance of sweet and savory flavors. The chicken lettuce wraps were packed with flavor, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Both dishes were served hot and fresh and were a great representation of traditional Thai cuisine.
Service: The service at Royal Yum was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Our food arrived quickly and was served with a smile, and our server was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.
Overall Experience: Our experience at Royal Yum was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We would definitely recommend Royal Yum to anyone looking for a great Thai...
Read moreI recently visited Royal Rum, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was freezing cold--everyone was bundled up in jackets and hoodies just to try and stay warm. When we asked about the temperature, the staff mentioned that the fireplace doesn't work, and they couldn't afford to heat the space for customers, which seemed like an odd excuse for a dining establishment.
To make matters worse, the service was far from satisfactory. Our water glasses were never refilled, and it felt like we were completely forgotten by the staff. We had to clean off our own table before she would set down our food. Our waitress literally looked at us with our food in hand for us to clean up our empty plate for appetizer before she could place it. The most frustrating part was that our food, which we had been waiting for, arrived cold. On top of that, the server wasn't friendly or engaging at all--there was no attempt at small talk or any kind of warmth that would make us feel welcomed.
Overall, the combination of the freezing cold temperature, poor service, and cold food made for an unpleasant experience. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. Food is good, but I would only order to go if I’m...
