This is your basic train station, a couple bus routes but mostly this is a station to transfer from one train line to another. Yes, sure there are drug users around. Yes they are going to be around more after dark. In my experience, if you don't use and don't like needlessly insult or demean anybody, then you very probably won't be harmed/robbed/swindled/etc. Bus drivers driving the alameda route as of 10/23-1/24 are always fantastic, efficiently running their routes but able to deal well with the human factors...
