I was going to Lane for six months at Acronychous. No issues with nail designs as she's talented in replicating the designs I sent. My issue is with customer loyalty. During my time as a client I was asked by Lane to reschedule 3 of my appointments without explanation. All of which I accommodated by moving things on my schedule.

On Sept 3rd, I received a text once again asking to change my appointment on Oct. 29th @ 4p to Oct 28th same time. While I said OK, I asked that this be the last reschedule as it was third time and honestly it was inconvenient - especially considering these appointmentsare booked months in advance so, I build my schedule around it.

Fast forward to Oct 27 and I have chosen a design and as usual sent it to Lane via IG stating this was for our Wed Appt on the 29th since that was the time/date still on my calendar from their scheduler and I didn't think about the text two months ago. (To Note: Whenever an appointment was sent by them (even a change) it's updated in the Google calendar). She responded to my message saying " You Got It!". I'm always excited when getting my nails done and have a trip planned this week so, I was really looking forward to it.

So, the next day (Tuesday), I receive a text from Lane at 3:52p saying "Hiiii! Just realizing your insta message said Wednesday and our appt is today at 4! Just confirming that I’ll see you in a few 🙃". Wait what? I was confused so, I sent her a screenshot of my calendar and email which had the appointment for Wed and was FROM the nail shop. Also, how do you just realize this 8 min prior to an appointment? She asked if I received an email with the new date and time to which I said no because if I had - it would have updated in my calendar. She then says she has no other 4p appts for the remainder of the week. I said " Fine, I guess I'll see you next month" as I was understandably disappointed. She then offered a time for next week to which I say " No thank you. Have a great weekend" because I have a meeting I can't move. Her response?

"My policy does state that 100% of a service will be charged for last minute cancellation/no show….ill add that charge to your next appointment on Tuesday, November 25th at 2pm."

Seriously? For her mistake/oversight, she wants to charge me basically double next time? Mind you I spend at LEAST $170 each visit not including the 20 - 25% tip I leave every time. Not only that - I've accommodated her requests THREE TIMES prior even though I had to move something. I have been consistent customer who at most has been 7 minutes late MAYBE twice and have always communicated and have been apologetic.

I was so disappointed by the unprofessionalism that I canceled my remaining appointments for the year and will not be returning. Just goes to show that loyalty and flexibility doesn't mean much to some...

As a client for nearly five years, this review is beyond overdue. But, better late than never! Rachael and her team of amazing technicians are setting the bar for excellence in the nail care world. While the artistry and technical skill is impressive enough, there is just as much focus on nail health, professionalism and sanitation. You will NOT find "dip" or traditional acrylics in this shop. No aggressive fumes lingering in the air. No bloody cuticles from haphazard use of clippers. This is not your grandma's nail salon! If you've never been to a quality nail salon like Acronychous, it won't take you long to appreciate the difference!

While gorgeous nail art is what brought me to this salon in the first place, the quality and durability of my manicures has kept me coming back for years. I work in landscaping and have my hands in dirt most of the time. Rachael worked to find the perfect gel base that is both strong and flexible, keeping my nails looking fresh even after the abuse they endure. I get my nails done about once a month but could easily go longer if I needed to.

The only downside to this salon? It will ruin every other nail salon experience for you! Once you've had the best, everyone else pales in...

Where to start with this magical bubble of a business?

I started going here 2 years ago when Indigo first started doing sets. Im so thankful to have found my gemini soul mate. I've always been able to get an appointment with Indigo and very rarely has she ever had to reschedule. Her art is always so impressive and somehow blows my (now very high) expectations out of the water.

As far as the shop as a whole goes, it's one of the most inclusive and accepting spaces Denver has to offer, full stop. As a male identiing individual, I have never felt like I am intruding on a "female" only space. I love and appreciate all the beings in this shop who work to promote the acceptance and understanding of everyone and their story. This being said, each one of them can and will be fierce to defend their space to remain this way. They have strict rules still as 2021 comes to a close regarding COVID, and I've literally seen these measures WORK.

You will not find better artists, people, or friends at any other nail shop. This shop is the creme de la creme, and it's worth every dollar.

Sarah at Acronychous is a true nail artist and healer. After relocating to Denver, I had an unfortunate experience at another salon that completely wrecked my nails. Deep rings of fire! They were brittle, thin, and painfully damaged. I waited patiently for them to heal, and once I felt ready, I booked an appointment with Sarah—and I’m so grateful I did. From the moment I sat in her chair, I knew I was in good hands. Sarah took the time to assess the condition of my nails and customized a plan to nurse them back to health. She’s not only incredibly talented, but also gentle, detail-oriented, and clearly passionate about what she does. Her knowledge and skill are unmatched, and her calming, yet bubbly energy makes every appointment feel like a mini retreat! Thanks to her, my nails are healthier, stronger, and more beautiful than ever. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hands now. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about nail health and delivers stunning results, Sarah is your girl!

This review is long overdue. I can't say enough good things about Rachael and the ladies at Acronychous. This isn't your typical nail salon. It feels comfortable the moment you come in and like you're just there to hang out with friends. Rachael has been doing my manicures for several months now, and throughout all of the pandemic craziness and having to close her doors for a bit, she has still managed to help me with keeping my nails in tip-top shape. No lifting, no chipping and no breakage. I've had one manicure stay put well over 6 weeks. I feel heavy hearted for moving and never getting to experience a beautiful manicure like the ones I've had here, and I wish nothing but success for these hard-working and talented ladies.

Make no mistake, Acronychous is the best nail shop in the game. Rachael has curated a stellar team of highly talented and creative individuals who strive to give clients the dopest nails. They use the latest techniques and products, the shop is bright, fun, funky and clean, and you’ll walk out with a set of 10 like no one else. Sky’s the limit with what they can achieve on your digits. In just a few months, Rachael took my natural nails from brittle, short little stubs to show-stopping claws. And yes, they’re all mine, no tips here. Bonus? Shop Rizzo at the front will whet your retail whistle while you wait. Acronychous is my monthly therapy, and I pay good money for that shizz.
