Denver Public Library: Sam Gary Branch Library — Local services in Denver

Well kept and equipped library and most of the staff are great. The patrons are awesome! However: The computers take 3-5minutes to load. Not there fault, this is an issue/process w/all DENVER Library's. Unlike Aurora, Arapahoe which load process during the reboot instead of individual log in.

The real issue is you have to go the the desk and ask for wipes like a child. I held off on addressing this to give the benefit of the doubt, but today proved my assumption. When requesting a wipe as I have to every time, the entitled clerk said "Thank You" (typical of that persons attitude). Not to mention they hold it out with the hyper extended (I don't want to accidently touch you while you touch this)arm. Now I am an old school, 'please and thank you" person. But I don't do so for indignities. I should not have to ASK especially given the conditions of the stations. The WIPES SHOULD BE IN A DISPENSER on the wall (near the desk) like other libraries. Great small library. It's part of the Denver public library system, so with a card here you still have access to all of the Denver public library system. This branch is upkept well, has various family bathrooms, and a wonderful children play area with lots of different interactive and education toys. If you don't like children, the adult section is still nice and the hold pick up area is right by the door away from the children area. If you're going to close the library for the day the least you can do is shut down online scheduling and notify people who have a room reservation that the library is closed.

I made a reservation 30 minutes before arriving for a study room. Why would you let me make this reservation and not email me that the library is closed? I just wasted an hour driving to and from this library since it was the only location with study room openings, when all could have been avoided with some basic communication and an email saying the library is closed for the day and all reservations...
