Let me preface this by saying that I never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to leave a review for my experience at Macy's today. I could tell by the woman that was at the returns counter the minute that I walked in that she was going to be totally unhelpful and true to form she did not disappoint. I hate to say that she was frog-like, but I wasn't able to get her name as her name tag was covered, all I can say is that it started with a g so frog like is the best description I can give; along with a slash of inappropriately red lipstick. I've been a customer of Macy's for many many years and I just have to say that wow Macy's has really gone downhill. The issue at hand is I came to return a set of shoes which I had changed the laces out for more appropriate laces than the ones that came with them. I forgot to put the laces back in the shoes when I brought them back to Macy's, and was immediately denied the opportunity to return them. I offered to purchase laces at the store if that was an issue, or exchange those shoes for another pair of shoes that I liked and give them those laces, or a myriad of other possibilities and avenues to not have to haul the shoes back to my house and then come back to Macy's. I asked if there was a way I could leave the shoes at Macy's to come back in the afternoon to finish the transaction. All avenues thoughts or ideas as to how to complete this transaction successfully were immediately shot down and not even considered by the unnamed woman whose name starts with a g. In days gone by, when Macy's employees had pride in their appearance and engaged in some of the most top notch customer service in the industry, SOME form of solution would have been worked out so that I left happy. Apparently that's not the case anymore at macys, which appears to be dying from a thousand cuts committed by employees like that woman. Sad but true. Update: as I was standing outside figuring out how was going to haul these shoes back and still make it to my tailor before 5 who comes walking in front of me but the very same lady in question. So if you came through to me that the reason why she didn't want to help me was because she was...

Please read this as there are many similar reviews to mine. Macy’s furniture is extremely unprofessional. Our couch was supposed to be delivered on a Monday and was then cancelled without communication. We took off of work expecting to receive a couch and then received nothing. It was then rescheduled for Saturday. We got a text confirming it was coming between 3-5pm. We cancelled our plans to go skiing because of this but were ok with it to receive the couch. At 6pm, we spent over an hour on the phone with customer service and then told us the delivery was backed up and we would be receiving a call within the hour. She assured us it was coming and truly made us believe it. It is now 8:30pm on a Saturday, we cancelled our night plans and still have not received any communication.
As an update after this was posted, we received the couch at 10:00pm. Extremely unprofessional. They showed up in an enterprise rent a car truck and left trash all over our place and didn’t fully assemble the couch (they left bolts out that we found within the trash they left on the ground).
I can promise you that neither us or any of the people coming tomorrow will ever buy from Macy’s Furniture after this. This place is a joke. You spend money on quality and receive nothing in return. Please save your time and money and look elsewhere.
Again, please read the other 1 star reviews as there are many...
Read moreBought a $2,000 couch from macy's furniture gallery in Denver. Told him I needed a chaise on the left side. Waited 3 months for the couch. Finally had a delivery day for the couch in Dec and took off work to be there. Got a vm saying my macy's credit card wouldn't work. No reason for it not to work but I called them back immediately same day and paid for the couch but they refused to keep my delivery time and pushed it another week. I explained I took off work for the original delivery and could not be there for the new delivery. Asked to speak to a manager and he said he'd ask delivery to call me but then hung up on me. All customer service agents are in another country, barely speak English, read off a book, and are not helpful in actually resolving issues. I called 3 times and could not get help. Delivery never called. Extremely stressful. I had to beg the maintenance guy to let them in my apt for the delivery since I couldn't be there. Come home to find out that they delivered a RIGHT chaise couch! Went to the store and they are now ordering me the correct couch and I have to be home again for them to pick up the incorrect couch. Taking off work again. The correct couch will take another 3 months. 6 months without a couch. Can't reach anyone in the US to actually get anything resolved. All numbers are not working. Non US agents will not do anything. The absolute worst furniture buying experience...
