I’ve been a loyal customer at Ten Penny since their location change, and this vintage shop continues to exceed my expectations every single visit!
What sets Ten Penny apart is their incredible eye for curation. They consistently stock exactly what vintage enthusiasts are hunting for, all at genuinely fair prices. The quality and selection make it clear that the owners truly understand their customers and the vintage market.
Recently, I had the wonderful experience of both selling and shopping here. I brought in a collection of vintage pieces to rotate my wardrobe, and the process was seamless and fair. But the real magic happened when I mentioned I was searching for a specific 1940s Naval piece for an upcoming event. Not only did they have something perfect – they had an authentic 1940 women’s W.A.V.E.S uniform coat that fit like it was made for me! Finding such a specific, high-quality piece that fits perfectly is like striking vintage gold.
Beyond the incredible inventory, the shop owners are genuinely lovely people who make every shopping experience a joy. Their passion for vintage is evident, and their warmth makes Ten Penny feel more like visiting knowledgeable friends than just shopping.
Whether you’re a seasoned vintage collector or just starting to explore, Ten Penny is an absolute must-visit. Their combination of expert curation, fair pricing, and exceptional customer service makes them the premier vintage destination in Denver. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
Here are two of my favorite finds from that...
Read moreHands-down one of the best vintage clothing and vinyl record shopping experiences you'll have on Broadway. Ten Penny is staffed by the friendliest people, and their prices are shockingly fair. They have a wonderful selection of stylish, well-curated vintage clothes spanning many eras, and super clean records, with an inventory that is always updated and rotated--there are seemingly new treasures to be found upon each visit. I have found so many pieces here over the years, and as we know, vintage clothing can be hard to fit and size but Ten Penny has a wide range of sizes, and they will also recommend a good tailor if needed. And if they don't have what you're after, they will even happily impart their vast knowledge of the Denver vintage clothing network to direct you to another shop that may.
Also, the records are the real sleeper here. The racks are constantly being refreshed with 70s-90s era gems, and there are even some new releases mixed in there (I picked up a Floating Points album here once, as well as a Pharoah Sanders re-issued box set). Several records I bought for my wife here looked like they'd never been played once. Seriously some of the most pristine vintage albums I've ever purchased in Denver.
So, if you want a genuine customer service experience with clean and sharp-looking vintage clothing, and some decades-old vinyl that looks fresh from the plant, look no further than The Ten...
Read moreThe prices are excellent and the clothes are cute. However the staff (could have been the owner for all I know)did not greet me or really any one else that came in the store. I found ONE item that I wanted to try on. I was asked to leave my "bag" outside of the fitting room and was directed to the sign in the fitting room that says no bags. I understand trying to reduce theft but it was literally my purse. You don't trust your customers but you want your customers to trust you and leave their purses that have identification, money, credit and debit cards etc with you or just somewhere outside of the fitting room ? Absurd. It did not take me long to decide to not buy anything since they clearly don't want my money.
Edit: as you can see from the owners response I was correct in not spending my money there. I actually went to another antique store just down the street and was able to try on items without needing to leave my PURSE with the cashier. You won't be in business much longer with your nasty responses. They've responded to all unfavorable reviews with an attitude instead of taking a step back and realizing what they are asking of their customers while not having the same...
