GameStop — Local services in Deptford Township

Came into store yesterday to purchase a bongle for my ps3 guitar hero remote . Was looking at the used ps3 games and female tenant came to us and stared . Asked us "what dd we want" I replied we were just looking for a ps3 bongle and guitar hero and rocks and for ps3 . She gave me a bullshit lie about just receiving a whole box of bongles and guitar hero games and kept following us asking us what else we wanted . By this time I notice she obviously thinking we were stealing . Not trying to point a finger but I work in retail. I know what advanced customer service is and I know about lost prevention because I am actually a loss prevention lead for urban outfitters at the cherry hill mall . But hs obviously thought we were going to steal approached and totally played me and my grlfriend as if we were thieves or thugs . Yes I am African American. But I don't recommend this store . Only reason I even still bought the games were because they were so cheap and the mall I work at didn't have them . If it wasn't for this game I would call the store ad speak to a manager and higher ups about the overall service . Thank you but...

Brianna and another gentleman were working the counter yesterday afternoon. I did some research and was still completely oblivious to how skylanders work. I play overwatch (Ana main lol) and that's about it these days. Brianna and the other associate did a great job of explaining how everything worked with the system. I was able to get everything for my 4.5 year old (who is obsessed strictly because of the Netflix show) with her own skylanders set up. She was excited after school when she came home and we had every character she asked for ready to go in her playroom. My buying experience was comfortable. They didn't treat me like a moron, like I've experienced at other locations. They understood I was clueless and we're excited to accommodate my lack of skylanders knowledge. This GameStop is just ok. I say that only because they typically have the game(s) in stock we are interested in. My two complaints - the store is packed with merchandise - on the floor, on the counter, high on shelf tops, etc. I always wind up kicking or bumping into something. Also, every single time we visit, no matter the time, employees are leaning against the back counter on their phones. I have seen the store get pretty busy and only one employee will ring customers up. The second one just stays on the phone or wanders behind the counter. Honestly, the employees are lazy.
