I had to exchange a item and they didn’t have that item in the store to exchange for size. I had purchased this item a day prior for their Memorial Day sale. I figured I would pick up a similar same price item for exchange since they didn’t have what I needed. The nice gentleman went to get the manager thinking there would be no issue to exchange for a same price bathing suit since the store was sold out of what I purchased the day before. Well, this is my issue...Corrine came over and immediately rolled her eyes and said she couldn’t exchange my suit for a same price suit. I would have to pay more even though I was there the day before for the 50% off sale. (Kohl’s would have no issue to exchange a same price item if what you originally bought was sold out) I am a cardholder and said that’s ridiculous you really can’t help me. I mentioned that I should then shred my card. She agreed that she doesn’t care and I should go right ahead and shred it. I have been a cardholder for Macy’s for a very long time and I honestly have never been treated in such a way. I almost questioned that maybe this was a racist woman just by her nastiest tone and her demeanor. I have worked in retail and I know 100 percent she could have helped me if she indeed was a manager and wanted to. She chose not to and wanted me to pay more. Why? I was so upset when I left. I got to thinking later on that couldn’t she have suggested ordering the bigger size online for a exchange so I didn’t have to pay more. She didn’t want to help me bottom line! I will not be shopping here ever again. Macy’s you really need to hire people that treat there customers...
Read moreWent to the lancome counter the associate was on her phone. That threw me off. Cold demeanor seemed disinterested in me a buying customer. Not friendly at all. My friend works for lancome in cherry hill told me to try their product so I went to my local mall and this is how I was treated. Didn't seem she wanted to help with products. Then when I made purchase the product I wanted was out of stock so we ordered on line. She had me go home and call her on phone to order product because I couldn't remember the number of product. Again she should have spent time and tried product on me to get right color then match number there. So we order online never heard anything on order so went back got a new girl who was wonderful took her time went above and after not finding original order ordered a new product after testing colors on me. Now one product arrives and with in one day the original one comes in so I went this week to return product now mind you I have one and got my gift was told to keep gift because I ordered a new one new color counted as one product all good so I return and got another totally different product and she tells me no you already have one. This is the manager at this counter she has no customer skills to keep clients I would have liked to have tried the other products in the gift there were 3 choices as my friend suggested to try our products well I guess I will at cherry hill. I don't care if your a counter manager at lancome or not you have horrible report...
Read moreWent in to exchange - For Size - identical product, identical color, print, etc. It was a Christmas present, so, no receipts, etc. Also - original price ~25.00 -- currently marked down to 9.99 All I wanted to do was exchange for Size-- wasn't looking to "return" and "re-buy" Cashier asked for receipt, etc, I explained. She said, "If you don't have proof of purchase, how do I know you even bought it here"!!! She was quite serious. I explained, nicely, Again, it had been a Gift. She wasn't budging - I was offended that her implication was that I was somehow attempting to rip her/Macy's off. I think she was expecting to intimidate me into leaving. There were now 6 customers behind me in line. I told her she needed to resolve this. Told me she couldn't do anything. I suggested she call someone who Understood Retail, and Customer Service. She ultimately did, and I completed the exchange. As we left, she felt the need to yell after us - Don't forget in the future You Need Tags/receipts. I worked for 10+ years as the Customer Service Manager for a major Grocery chain in this area. For 9.99? My boss would have said (as would i) "for 10 lousy dollars why would you create bad will with a Customer???" I've let Macy's know I'll not be shopping in their Deptford Mall...
