This is a lovely little park with beautiful views of the water. There's a long walking path and a cute splash pad area for kids. The park is super clean, and they had a bike cop patrolling to ensure everyone's safety. There are clean washrooms (at least when we went) and a few restaurants and an ice cream shop. You can also bring your own food to sit and enjoy at the tables. The parking is a bit sketchy. There's street parking but not much and an empty lot where you would think you could park, but we were told we'd get towed if we parked there even though I don't recall seeing any signs. It's a nice place to visit to chill and take in the views.

Area is fine for hanging out especially when you have kids as there is a public fountain-like and swimming play area so kids can wear bathing suit and play around. There are some shades and plenty of benches. Husband and I tried to fish but got snagged several times but there were evidence of big fishes. Parking is a bit of a challenge but we found a spot on the side street. Enter through Mt. Elliott street and take your chance going there. It would be a walk going to the park. Free street parking.

Another beautiful park on the Riverfront. There are a couple of waterfalls for the kids to play in and they were having a great time. I felt like a kid just watching them enjoying themselves. There's a cafe with seating. Restrooms nearby. The park is pet friendly. My grandson and I, of course he's too big and old for this park. He just thought I would enjoy seeing it and he was right!

Beautiful splash pad and covered pavilion right on the Detroit River and the Riverwalk.

Started coming here last summer with my then 2yo - she liked it then -- she LOVES it now. I'd say this splash pad is good for kids of all ages but definitely geared towards the 2-6yo crowd.

The pavilion is great - lots of tables and chairs. There is a snack shack but as far as I can tell - it's just snacks. If you're in need of lunch - Atwater Brewing is a beautiful, short walk down the riverfront and it's pretty kid friendly.

Parking is free but if you're here on a weekend - come early.

There is a MOGO bike hub right by the parking lot - for easy access to bike rentals.

Access to Belle Isle is also right nearby - though the Riverwalk doesn't quite go that far so you do have to go along Jefferson for a very...

So I am here with my small family at the moment....enjoying a picnic lunch under the pavillion. I placed a small table cloth on the metal filthy table so we can eat our lunch safely.....just now a lil cute rent a cop/security guard told us we are not to have or are allowed to use table clothes on the filthy used metal tables that I am pretty sure are just wiped down with a used rag in the morning or evening. Can anyone tell me why I can't use my table cloth?? We live down the street, we own property, pay taxes, and are just trying to enjoy a local park safely. I need an explanation. I have seen people use table clothes many times. For parties, celebrations, etc. So why Detroit parks?? Why can't I eat safely??

Best, Tax paying, working...

Safe and clean splash pad for kids. Restrooms, drinking fountain, tables and chairs in shade, grassy path, beautiful views of river with Belle Isle and Canada across the way, and security present. There is also a cafe, but I'm not sure of the hours.

For parking, there's a small lot and some street parking at the end of Mt Elliott, next to the Moto rental bicycles. While the park is open year round, the splash pad only runs Memorial Day through Labor Day.

This is one of the parks along the Riverwalk. Great stop for folks on bicycles and an easy ride from the DNR adventure center, Milliken Park, the Cullen carousel, and Downtown.

Have been here several times with my toddlers and have always found the other parents and kids to...
