The UPS Store — Local services in Diamond Bar

Ridiculously Overpriced and Terrible Customer Service. I just had my first (and definitely last) experience at the UPS store in Diamond Bar. I went in to return an item to Amazon and needed to purchase a box and some bubble wrap. I was shocked when the cashier told me the total was $50 just for a box and some packaging. When I asked what I was being charged for, she mentioned it included labor fees just to put the bubble wrap in the box. I politely declined and asked if I could tape the box myself using their tape. To my disbelief, they refused to let me use any tape unless I purchased my own roll for $12!

It was frustrating enough to find out a simple box was another $12 on top of that. When I questioned the owner, Rita, she confirmed this is how they operate. They only offer packing services and don’t allow customers to use any supplies unless they buy them at their inflated prices. It’s absurd that a packaging store wouldn’t let customers tape up their own items after buying a box from them. Absolutely embarrassing service and blatant price gouging. Save yourself the hassle and money—don’t ever visit this UPS location in the Walmart shopping center. They’ve lost my...

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I can not say the same for the owner. I was trying to ship a poster 27x40. I had made an attempt to make my own box. Due to uneven corners, the cost was way off. I purchased a box from ups store that would work. I paid $32 When I asked if I could repack the poster in the store the manager/ owner said I would be charged the cost of tape and any bubble wrap I would use. She did offer to repack it for me, but there would be a fee. My point to writing this is that after I over paid for a box, I would have been given some consideration or perhaps a discount to use any shipping supplies but NO!!! I asked the manager if she would at least discount the tape and she said no. I drove back home repacked it and shipped it usps. I am Truly DISGUSTED that in this time of need that the manager would be more understanding. I will never return to this store and if I ever need to, I will go to the small shopping store next to Albertsons. For anyone reading this beware!!!! They will nickel and...

I had a fantastic experience at this UPS store! I came in after work to do my Live Scan, and since it was my first time, I had no idea what I was doing — it took me quite a while to fill everything out properly.

Debbie, whose name I saw on her badge, was incredibly professional, polite, and truly one of the nicest people I’ve met in customer service. Even though it was already 6:30 (past closing time), she patiently guided me step by step all the way until the process was complete. I was genuinely impressed by her kindness and dedication.

Her coworker, a dark-haired gentleman named Nick (if I caught the name correctly), was also very friendly and helpful. You can tell this team really cares about their customers.
