Found myself back at good ol' Walmart Auto- on a Sunday no less. Darlene, the mgr, was the first one to the desk to help. She advised the flat wasn't repairable, but took the time to go through my account to find that I did in fact get the warranty. She gave me an honest estimate how long it would take to get repaired - and then helped me set an appointment when I didn't want to wait. When my appointment came, and somehow got cancelled, she was there to make sure my tire was still fixed as we discussed. I didn't catch the associate's name that fixed my tire, but after writing it up, he took it in, got it fixed quickly. Even the associate that rang me up was great when I told him I'm a Walmart+ member and he took care of the things that are included with membership so I wasn't overcharged. Let's face it, there aren't a lot of options in town, and we all know those of us on a budget will shop by price - but this visit it definitely felt like my business MATTERED to them- and that's a really great feeling - Keep up the good work, Darlene and team!!!
I just thought I'd edit this to add, I scheduled an appointment. I've now been sitting here for two hours. A retail giant that doesn't know how to schedule is kind of baffling... And no, they aren't short handed- I can see pictures of the employees and they have enough to have four techs on every day for eight hours and two the rest of the time they're open. ā¦............ Have you ever noticed the auto center employees seem to enjoy telling you it's going to be a long wait? Giggling a little bit telling me it'll be three hours when there isn't a single car...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn 3/21/23 I took my car in to Dickenson Walmart for a oil change and asked them to check all the fluids in the engine. They said that they would. So I pick my car up and one of the desk guys told me that I need to have the transmission flushed and the power steering pump flushed because the fluids were full of slugde. So on the work order they have a check list of what they had done. It stated that said that my power steering fluid was checked and topped off. Well my power steering went AWOL. I get home pull the cover off to get to the dip stick and it had not been touched and there was no power steering fluid in it. . Thank you so much Walmart technicians. Now I have to pay for a new power steering pump and belt. They probably didnt even change the oil or oil filter.. they didn't even change the air filter. I will never go back to Walmart to have them fix a flat tire. Poor service . I would not have even given them a one star bit I wouldn't have been able to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've taken my car here 3 times. First time was for an oil change. I dropped my car off at 10 am, the guy said it will be about an hour to 2 hours. Came back around 1:30, they said my car wasn't ready. Waited another hour and 45 minutes for them to tell me they didn't have my oil filter, and they asked me to go grab one for an auto part store and they would get me in. I refused because my car should have been done hours before and they should have called me and told me they didn't have an oil filter. Second time I took my car in for an oil change they said about an hour to 2 hours again. Get 30 miles home to find out they put the wrong oil in my car. I went and spoke to the store manager that time because that was ridiculous. Third time I took my car in was for winter tires. They took 5 1/2 hours just to put my tires on, I never knew it took that dang long and I would have taken my business elsewhere if I knew how long it would...
