The Barn — Local services in Dothan

We went there Saturday to get my grandson 2 pair of carpenter jeans. He tried on a pair so we would know his size. The young lady that was helping us then went back and grabbed him a second pair of what we thought was the same pair of jeans. Again we thought and were told they were the same as the pair he tried on. So of course we went home I took the tags off both pair and threw them in washing machine. Washed and dried them. He put on the 2nd pair the lady gave us and they were too small. I paid cash for them and had thrown away the receipt also because we thought they were the same. So today Wednesday may 3rd I went to the barn and took both pair to show them they were different and asked to exchange them for the correct pair. Wow, that's when the real face of the barn came forward and said she is the manager and they under no terms would exchange the pants because I had washed them. I tried to explain and the young lady that had helped us Saturday even told her (the manager) it was her mistake. She got onto the young lady for not doing her job correctly pointed her finger in my face and told me I should have known to try them on him before i washed them. She also told me to quit being immature. Yes, I was very angry because 40.00 to loose is alot. So i left the jeans on the counter walked out but decided I would go back and purchase the correct pair for him.. It was clearly their mistake but wouldn't make it right for me. That 40.00 wouldn't have hurt them as much as it did me!!! She said if she exchanged them for me she would get fired!!!! Really? I don't think the owner would fire her for taking care of a customer and doing what was right. We shop at the barn alot and we are very disappointed in...

I've shopped at The Barn in Dothan at the old location on the RC Circle for many years and at the present location and I'm here to tell y'all, I've never had a bad or even near bad experience at The Barn! Everyone was then and is now absolutely 💯 welcoming from the time you walk in and absolutely 💯 friendly and do not mind helping, it's their pleasure, they will tell you! I love their jeans, everything, the awesome way they display their merchandise! I'm older now, when I was younger though, with 3 grown Children and Grands, I got so very many compliments on "how good I looked in those jeans, where'd ya get em?" Of course I'd tell em, "THE BARN IN DOTHAN"! Then I would have to advertise for them too, by tellin em what else I bought and what other awesome merchandise they had! I still get a few compliments even now that I hit the 70 mark with Great Grands, Praise God! I'm also tall, 5'11", I wear a size 10-12, I have no problem finding my size or the styles I love at The Barn in Dothan! Thank you all at The Barn! I've had a hard time finding flare/boot-cut jeans for a curvy girl. It has been a really hard time because I either cannot use the dressing room because of COVID regulations or I try to order online and they end up not fitting well. I walked into the Barn and the lady who was working was super nice and welcoming. I immediately found jeans that went by measurements and not just a size!! THE DRESSING ROOMS WERE OPEN!!!!!! I was able to try on jeans and finally found jeans that fit me properly!! If you're a curvy, country girl and love flare/boot cut jeans I recommend buying the GRACE jeans from the Barn!!
