If you have children and are looking for a gym who offers childcare DO NOT SIGN UP. This gym is taking advantage of me as a single full time working mom. Back when I was pregnant and clearly showing I went to Dothan Athletic Club looking for a gym membership who offered daycare. I clearly told the staff member thatās what I was looking for and deciding from them or Crunch based on daycares services. Dothan athletic club said they did offer daycare and even told me the days/times the daycare was opened. I Signed up immediately and was so excited and even worked out during my pregnancy when i could. Fast forward to when I had my baby I called to verify what time they were opened for daycare they then FINALLY tell me that they donāt allow babies until they are TEN MONTHS old⦠my baby is now 5 months and I havenāt been able to use the gym because again Iām a full time working mom and I have no support system In Dothan who can care for my baby while I workout and I canāt use my regular daycare because I use up all my hours for work since I work full time. They first lied to me and said they offer daycare to anyone then they say only until 10 months because the people who take care of the kids are kids themselves and donāt have certifications??? Like excuse me what??? I havenāt paid for my membership because I have been trying to cancel with them since November asking for an explanation. They keep telling me they will call me and never do, Now they refuse to cancel my membership and have racked me up with late fees and are making me pay that or $150 to cancel even though I was lied to⦠I obviously canāt afford to keep doing this because I decided to get a membership where I can actually take my baby..Iām so overwhelmed and feel like they took advantage of me just get a sale⦠and even if they offered childcare for the 10 months old they just let anyone take care of your baby who ISNT CPR certified....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I am trying to decide which gym I want to start back to in Dothan. COVID has really made a mess of working out and I suspended my membership at Planet Fitness, until things got better as far as pertaining to the COVID crisis.
I am having to rely on ratings and feedback and after trying to decide between PF, DAC, or Crunch the past reviews have made it difficult to decide. It appears that DAC involves a lot of Red Tape to join or leave their club and is rather expensive, however they do have more amenities, but would I use them and would it be worth the hassle as others have listed below. On the other hand Crunch is very affordable, but crowded and everyone is on top of you from what their reviews state. I have been a long time member at PF and the Enterprise location has been my home gym since it opened. I enjoyed my time their and the staff where very nice and I absolutely recommend that location. The Dothan location has not lived up to the Enterprise standards.
However, I live in Dothan and thatās not a option for me at the moment. So I am relying on reviews and feedback, before signing another contract. I have three stars based on reviews for this gym to narrow my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is a joke!!! I signed up for 24 hour access along with the access of the steam room. These two privileges were breached months into my contract. I continued to pay because I was in contract, I asked the owner about the steam room and his reply was, do you have $5,000 to repair the steam room? My contract was up in April and I called to get instructions and to make sure I would not be charged for following month. I was told I was set. A month later I was billed again. I called back to get understanding and never got a phone call back. I was then billed again a second month before I was told to come fill out a cancellation form. I came by a filled it out and was given a speech about a new gym coming to Dothan. Why not to join them and why I should stay a member. The manner of how they treated my situation was completely unprofessional! I wouldn't refer anybody to this place. I understand that I'm just a small number to this business and If I my business doesn't matter, why is it so hard for them to not refund my two months of membership. I ask everyone to think twice about joining this gym, because the manner that business is conducted there is highly...
