Michaels — Local services in Dover

I went there to pick up an online order. Once I got there rang the assistance Bell for service twice. I waited and waited and waited. I stopped and associate and asked her if there's someone who could help me with my online order and she said she will call someone. And then watched her go back and forth from where they keep the orders to the registers several times and then she just stood at the register. So I waited a few minutes then I asked her if someone was going to come out and help me with my order. She says something into her mic and said someone would be with me shortly. So then I waited and waited and waited. They were confused I guess because there was more than one pickup for my last name so I told them what my last name was and my first initial. It then took them another 5 minutes and get me my order. This service was ridiculous and time-consuming. I would say I waited for no less than 15 minutes. I'm sure it was probably more than that. It was 15 minutes from the time that I started timing them. So I've never had bad service like that at...

I grew up in Dover, and I've got to say, Michaels is just as good as I remember it. There's always plenty of parking, which is a real plus. And the store? Never too crowded, always clean, and the shelves are well-stocked.

This last time I went, they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but I found something else that I thought I'd have to go to the mall for. So that was a nice surprise.

They even had a craft table set up right at the entrance. If we didn't have a birthday party to rush off to, I would've let my kids sit down and start crafting. It's those little things that make Michaels special.

Despite hearing negative things about the city since I moved away over a decade ago, it's heartening to see that Michaels and the surrounding shopping strip have retained their quality. Five stars for maintaining consistency all...

Michaels absolutely made my day recently. We have this print of artwork by a family member that we needed framed. We went in to get a quote a few weeks ago, and they were super friendly and helpful in choosing the matting and frame colors. There was a 70% off framing coupon. When we went back in to buy it, the coupon was expired, but they honored it because they honor their quotes for two weeks. Then she asked if I was a teacher and gave me an additional discount for that. We've had this print for years without framing, because it can be so expensive.
