Leffelman Meat Center — Local services in Downers Grove

I have been looking for a real butcher for a long time. Someone told me about Leffelman's and I immediately went there. It's a tiny store but has everything a meat lover could ask for. For starters, I ordered hamburgers and some Philly Cheese Brats. Family loved them!. The gentleman (sorry, I forgot your name) was eager to answer all my questions. Everything was made fresh and the rest of the meat looked great as well. They also have prepared marinated items, some spices (which I bought and loved) and other little items. Prices were on par with other retailers, however, the meat here was so much freshers and better looking. I can't wait to go back and pick up some ribeye's and whatever else catches my eye. Our family was thrilled to see a new butcher shop open in Downers Grove. We believe that supporting local businesses is key to helping create a vibrant local economy. We decided to purchase our Thanksgiving Turkey from Leffelman’s. We called to check for availability and our vm was returned promptly. Long story short, the HoKa Turkey from Waterman, Il. was absolutely the very best Turkey we have ever had for our Thanksgiving dinner. Been here twice in just a few weeks since finding it. The meat is top notch. I got steaks, brats, bacon, sausages, and some ground beef. Had some amazing breakfasts and cookouts with this stuff. Really loved the brats and if you can, you absolutely must get the maple blueberry breakfast sausages. They are an incredible culinary experience. Highly recommend this place.
