I have shopped at this store for years and had previously rated this location as a 4-star shopping experience, but after today's experience I don't think I will ever go back to this location. I fully understand that businesses are short-staffed and stress is high during the holidays, but that's no reason to speak to customers the way I was spoken to today. While waiting for a customer service representative to approach the desk a woman got in line behind me. The customer service representative then came to the register but did not acknowledge me standing there. She started a conversation with the woman behind me to address her needs. I assumed she thought I was being helped by someone else since she didn't even acknowledge me, so I mentioned that I had not been helped yet. By me letting her know that I had not been helped yet, the customer service representative started shouting at me "don't you be comin at me like that." I was in complete shock at her confrontational behavior and all I could do was repeatedly say "excuse me?" She kept shouting at me about not helping me and telling me I was "comin at her". This location desperately needs to be retrained on customer service skills. The manager was within the same space and never stepped in, just walked by saying "you ok?" to her staff. Another employee at a register was behaving the same way with a customer shouting at the customer "don't come at me like that". I believe that to work in a customer facing industry employees need to be pleasant, acknowledge customers, greet people, and be able to maintain their composure even under stress or difficult situations. I had 10 dollars kohls cash so i decided to go see the halloween towels at the store .i got pot holders and a pair of sneekers and i went to the register to pay . The person at the register said to put my phone number into the pad and i did. The old system wouldnt pull up the 10 dollars kohls cash .She asked me to check my kohls app. Then she startes saying maybe you already used it and you are trying to use it again .in addition to all that she said we dont take cash. By then i was insulted. I found the 10 dollars scanner for her to scan it and give me the discount . I felt very sad that i was treat it like i am less because i have a accent . Read moreI did not appreciate the attitude of the cashier this past Friday. She was finishing up with a customer before us, her counter was empty so we started putting some items on there. She said “I am not ready for you yet.” So we put the stuff back in our cart. When it was our turn she did not say hello or anything. Just gave us a stare. So we put our stuff on the counter. She said nothing even when she was done ringing everything up. So I said I had two gift cards and was paying the rest with a debit card. She just glared at me again. So I put the gift cards on the counter. She took them and then did not even tell me the balance. I put my debit card in. I took my stuff and the receipt and said “have a nice day too”- just to be smart with her. I did not complain to anyone because she was a very elderly woman.
