Terrible customer service served with an attitude! I've provided dozens of reviews and I believe this unfortunately is the 1st one star review I've done. This is tough for me as I go out of my way to support small local businesses. This was not my only poor experience at this business. We use to live near by until a couple years ago. So I'd been in the store 6 or 8 times before. I recall getting poor service several other times, but today's experience cut the cake. I confronted the person after asking for help and being dismissed twice. She had her face in her phone, come to find out responding to a text, she advised after telling me I was wrong to complain. My initial calling out was firm and measured, but in no way disrespectful. I thought she was probably an hourly employee, not getting paid much, so I wasn't taking it personally. After being told I was in the wrong and me advising I had a hard time believing the owner would see it that way, I was informed by the lady that she is the owner. Adding icing to the cake, defiantly she stated, " I suppose you're one of those people that think the customer is aways right. No need to say more. She obviously doesn't need our business. I was in the store with my 9 year old daughter looking for a rain jacket for her. I really sincerely was looking for some help. She seemed annoyed that I asked her twice. Thus me calling her out for blowing me off while she fussed with her phone. It was the worst customer service experience I've had...
Read moreIt is an honor to write a review for this outstanding business. I have searched my imagination to come up with the exact words to write about this business. To call this place merely a store or business is a profound understatement. This place is an ultra chic experience. The place is worth endless hours of style browsing. You couldn’t possibly see everything in a short drop in. Walking in is ecstatic! You are able to enjoy your shopping while listening to music that has real class, not the commercial brand songs you hear on radio stations most “stores” play. The owner is a lovely woman and I consider her to be an absolute verve icon of the very hip Duluth culture. This place is beautifully located on the historically prominent 4th Street of Duluth near everything else you shouldn’t miss in this fabulous city, Portland Square Park, Ski Hut, Whole Foods Co-op, etc. This is a place that is brilliantly accessible to anyone strolling the sidewalk, in transit on the DTA, biking, or driving! Each time I visit Dannie’s I leave with legend fashion pieces. I flaunt my style and people do stop and stare! I tell all my friends. You must experience and tell all your friends!...
Read moreNot size inclusive whatsoever. The store is packed with clothing but only for the clientele that wear up to size large. The clothing is grouped by style and size on the racks so I see no reason that the sizes xl and larger can’t be with the rest of the clothes. Like not even having xl with “normal” sizing, why? Instead there’s a tiny section in a corner of the store with the smallest selection of matronly clothes. It was blatantly obvious that the store does not care to spend any time or thought in curating clothes for us bigger people. I was surprised that the sign over the section didn’t say, “over here, fat a*s” since that’s the attitude they seem to have at this store. And if the owner tries to respond to this review with some lies about how they have a fantastic selection with X many racks for plus sized people… no you don’t and judging from other reviews this is an issue that has existed for years without any effort in...
