We arrived in town after five hours on the road. By the time ww were done unpacking in our rental, most places were closed or about to close (looked around 9:36pm). We looked online and saw that Sir Benedicts was open, so we came here because it looked better than the few generic bars that were open. Upon arriving, we could tell this place was popular with nearly two thirds of the tables taken both indoors and ourdoors. There are cool decorations all over the place, with a friendly aura. We had just missed the daily live music, the musician was packing his belongings; but the music they played over the speakers was still nice. Having eaten sandwiches for lunch as road-trip food, I wasn't much looking forward to another sandwich; but I wanted something on the light side and have food allergies so I ordered a sandwich anyways because it's a safe bet which I can save half of for tomorrow. When we went to order, the staff were very friendly and more than happy ro work around my food allergy. As we sat down, we saw there was a small set of shelves behind us stocked full of board and card games for people there to play (and at one point, a group of four men walked up and spent a good two minutes discussing which game they wanted to play (they decided on Jenga) which was fun to witness). Our food arrived, and looked like sandwiches from any normal sandwich shop. We were wrong. I wanted to eat half my sandwich, unfortunately I was unable to stop myself from finishing the whole thing. That was the most delicious sandwich I have had in years, and the other food ay the table was just as good. The prices basically made this meal a steal with how good the food was. We are only in town for a couple more days; but i intend to go back at least once if not twice before we drive home.
Tl;dr:
Just under $9 for the best sandwich I have had in years, in a cozy/fun restaurant full of laughter and people having a...

Looking for a brunch with a view, we found ourselves at Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake. The setting had promiseâand quirks.
Parking was scarce, so plan on a short walk from nearby street parking. Once inside, we found a cozy, bustling atmosphere that never felt overwhelming. The staff struck a balance of laid-back and attentiveâfriendly smiles and helpful guidance from the moment we arrived.
Restrooms were simple: two single-occupancy, non-gender-specific rooms. They were clean but showed signs of characterâgraffiti dotted the walls and ceiling.
Seating is self-service style: order at the counter, pick your spot, and the waitstaff brings the food with a warm touch.
Lake View & Outdoor Seating It was a foggy day, but we appreciated the generous outdoor seating with views that, on a clearer morning, would be stunning. Even through the mist, the lake added serenity to our brunch.
We started with the Pesto Bruschetta, beautifully presented and generously topped with pesto, feta, and tomatoes. It was flavorful, fresh, and visually inviting. The nachos (just a half order!) were unexpectedly heartyâsmothered in cheese, tomatoes, a large dollop of sour cream that didn't shy away, and pico de gallo and jalapeno slices on the side.
The timing from order to table felt just right. Our waitress arrived with a friendly smile and double-checked that we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy. Her attitude matched the tone of the place: casual but caring.
đ Overall Impression Despite minor hiccups (parking and fog), Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake delivered a memorable brunch with a side of laid-back charm. Good food, good vibes, and a lakeside settingâ9/10...
Read moreI had one of the Best evenings I've had in quite a while. So, I am a grateful recovered alcoholic and will be 10 years sober in April and say this because Recovery certainly does Not equal zero Fun... in fact, it's the opposite. But as far as finding somewhere to go dancing/eat/live music/chill or happening social atmosphere of adult NIGHTLIFE IS pretty hard to find, especially after the 5 pm hour... I am sincere about how unfortunate it is that more places don't recognize that not Everybody who Enjoys Going Out, either alone or with others- until the wee hours of the night- are drinkers of alcohol. It'd be great to have more places acknowledge this like Sir Benedict has, whether it was intended or not, nicely done- I applaud them for adding on tap their Kabasa pour!! Not only was it delicious & healthy, but it was "special" and not just another stupid $3 can of Sprite with too much ice and straw made for a mouse. đ€©đ Honestly, the rate of potential relapse could decrease IF there were to be more options for all adults just wanting to go have a good time socially but also have good drinks in their hands too- but getting high on life instead. Sir Ben's also had Awesome Food- the sweet potato Soup is like climbing into the perfect warm bath!! Simply Dreamy! We'd just missed the live music, but they have it through the week and an open mic that I'm gonna check out. The people there were so friendly I felt as tho we walked into our Cheers bar, even tho it was my 1st time there! And the lighting, plus layout was very cozy and colorful. This is an establishment with EVERY component within to create a well-rounded environment that will have anyone feel right at home and at the the same time keep them good time nrg vibes going for being...
