Duluth Rose Garden — Attraction in Duluth

My family, especially my daughter(12yrs old) love to check out all the wonderful smelling flowers. There are so many varieties and it is such a wonderful landscape. The parking is free. The lake walk brings you into Leif Erikson. Just a really great place to spend any any, especially on strapped funds. You won't be bothered by any bugs because the breeze off the lake is perfect for keeping them at by during years when they can be relentless elsewhere. Just be sure to bring a light jacket during the evening and can get chilly. You can see the Big Ships coming in sailboats and just watching the waves is really calming and relaxing plus there's all kinds of room for your children and or your dogs too get all their pent-up energy out in a nice...

This place is beautiful. It was actually constructed back in the early 90s when I spent two years living in Duluth. I have gone back at least a dozen times in the past five years (I live in Phoenix). Very peaceful place, warm people, and a gorgeous view of Lake Superior. Bathrooms are clean, but go early. Parking is short and this place is extremely popular with local walkers, bikers, joggers, and even tourists (which I last checked is about two million per summer). Many people use the Rose Garden as their starting point for the massively long lake walk, which runs along Lake Superior (another awesome spectical to fill your gallery with pictures). Pick a day with good weather (sounds simple, bit easier said then done...trust...

DO NOT GO IN EARLY SPRING, APRIL! All we seen were garbage bags! Coming from outta town we were so excited to see this place but it's probably our fault for not thinking that there's no roses in early April. I will say that Lake Superior was fun and we had a great walk and took plenty of pictures. The only reason for the 3 stars is because no roses which is pretty much our fault sorta. Anyways, only come here in the summer, otherwise it's not that fun of a trip if you are from outta town. 😥 BOTTOM LINE DO NOT GO UNTIL MAY MAYBE EVEN MID-MAY OR ANY OF THE SUMMER...
